Its website names a service area that includes Winchester, Keene, Jaffrey, Rindge, Brattleboro and Colrain, and the company describes itself there as a third-generation family company. On Google it holds 4.1 stars from 41 ratings. A recent customer said their orders with coordinator Kaitlyn are always taken and completed within 30 seconds. A recent customer who called to schedule an oil delivery said the woman on the phone was nice, professional and patient. A recent customer who needs both oil and service for a business said they had left over a short-staffed service department and came back, writing that the service department is now fully staffed. A 2023 customer in Northfield, MA said they ran out of oil overnight during a Nor'easter, and the company sent a driver in a pickup truck with 20 gallons to get them through until their delivery. That 2023 customer said the driver came inside to bleed the line to the furnace. A 2022 customer wrote of technicians who serviced their furnace and delivery drivers who show up. "Unfortunately, this company’s service has noticeably regressed over time. A fuel delivery service is only as good as its reliability when you need them the most—especially during freezing weather or when an oil tank is running critically low. Unfortunately, they have become a company you simply cannot count on to show up when it counts. If dependable customer support and timely emergency service are important to you, you may want to look elsewhere."
Just called to schedule oil delivery, the lady I spoke with was extremely nice, professional and patient. Nine months later, and we are still happy with our Bob’s Oil experience. I do recommend them to all my friends. :)
Great company. Very competitive on price and have resolved the service dept issue, now fully staffed. I left them last year over service dept skeleton crew as I need both oil and service for my business. Used another company of a colorful fruit name and very disappointed with them. Am so happy to be back with Bob's!! Never had any problems and customer service is excellent! Highly recommend. Other companies could learn from these guys how to treat people with respect and sense of urgency.
They will pick you up as a customer and make a delivery. Then you schedule another delivery midway through winter and now you are too far away. They will lie and say your home phone is disconnected and that they tried to call. They will also send you an email confirmation of your order then cancel on the day it is supposed to be delivered. I don’t suggest going with them at all.
