Paint is where most Boston City Construction jobs start, and a few customers say the crew fixed extra things along the way without charging for them. In an August 2026 Google review, a customer who hired them to paint most of the exterior of a two-family house wrote that they found more items needing paint or repair, included them at no extra charge, and even replaced two torn window screens. A June 2026 customer who has used them for many years credits Fabricio and Sam with interior and exterior painting, a shed renovation and new shutters on an old house. The Cambridge company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. On Google it holds 5 stars from 7 ratings, and Thumbtack shows 5.0 from 7 ratings and 16 years in business. The written reviews go beyond paint: a 2022 Google review describes Sam and his crew retiling a shower, adding new shower fixtures and repainting the whole bathroom; a 2021 customer says the company rebuilt two-story porches and painted a mostly aluminum-sided house, with one crew on the porches and another on the painting; a March 2025 Thumbtack reviewer praised their work on a leaking basement window and called the pricing fair. The oldest account, a 2017 Thumbtack review of a masonry project, describes Sam gathering quotes from sub-contractors, walking through the differences to fit the budget, and managing the crew to keep the job on time and on budget.
I used Boston City Construction to paint most of the exterior of my two-family house, and they did an excellent job. Not only was their work high quality and thorough, but they identified additional items that needed painting or repairing, and included them without extra charges. They even replaced two torn window screens at no additional cost! I highly recommend them.
We have used Boston City Painters for many years and they have been fantastic on projects both large and small, painting the interior and exterior of our home, renovating our shed, installing new shutters and keeping our old house in tip top shape. They are knowledgeable, friendly and professional, always willing to give us advice and providing creative solutions. I always know I can trust Fabricio and Sam to complete the job in a timely and professional manner, maintaining clear communication. Working with them is a pleasure.
They did an excellent job with exceptional attention to detail and high-quality workmanship. They were very punctual and professional throughout the project. I had a leak in my basement window, and their work exceeded my expectations—I couldn’t be happier with the results. The pricing was also fair. Highly recommend!
Sam and his crew did a fabulous job making our bathroom beautiful. They replaced the tile in the shower, added new shower fixtures, and repainted the whole bathroom. They are always a pleasure to work with and we love the new shower. Thank you Boston City Construction!
Boston City rebuilt my 2 story porches and painted my (mostly) aluminum sided house. They did such a professional, amazing job. They work in a very timely fashion. We were always in communication. No surprises. Always showed up when they said they would, and sometimes were there unexpectedly! I can’t say enough good things about them. I think you get more value for your $$ with them just because of their work ethic, promptness, and professionalism. The crew that built my porches were not the same guys that did the painting, but both crews were efficient and got the job done!
