We are thrilled with the work Ed did in our apartment. He is meticulous and efficient and a pleasure to interact with. He came up with creative solutions to the challenges posed by our quirky, old Cambridge apartment. I will definitely be asking him to work on future projects.

Ed was efficient, a good communicator, and did great work on a range of odd jobs including hanging art and a large mirror on both drywall and plaster walls, fitting a screen back into a window, and tightening some loose towel bars in my bathroom. When you live in an old house, you need an Ed. Ed is professional, meticulous, and a creative problem solver. Seemingly, there is no old-house puzzle that Ed cannot solve. Several years ago, we hired him to adjust our home's interior doors so they would latched properly. He was a miracle worker. Finally, we could close a door and it stayed closed. A few months ago, we hired him to refurbish/restore a built-in hutch. The result is beautiful, functional, and deeply aligned with the character of our home and the design of the original hutch. Our only wish is that we'd done it sooner.

I hired Ed for two tricky projects involving doors that wouldn't properly open/close. He was very communicative, friendly, and professional from start to finish. He showed up exactly on time, fixed both doors efficiently and effectively, at a very reasonable price and with great attention to detail. I would definitely hire Ed again!

Ed from Porter Square Handyman has done two projects at our new condo. The first project was actually about four or five “mini” projects changing some things around our place. Six months later and we love them and use them almost every single day - sometimes multiples times per day. He did these all in one day We have a smaller space that needed more storage and each of the projects Ed did increase our storage and size of our home! 1. Turned our rollout trash cabinet into more storage 2. Hung a large, heavy medicine cabinet 3. Flattened a bannister to allow laundry to sit on it. 4. Floating shelf taller than my tall partner’s head for fragile items and other glassware
