Boston Home Inspectors is a family business in South Boston run by James (Jim), Aidan and Devin Brock, who say they have served the Boston area for more than 25 years and performed more than 12,000 inspections between them. The state registry shows James L. Brock's Massachusetts home inspector license as active. Buyers who wrote on Google from 2022 to 2025 talk about explanation as much as findings. In March 2025, a buyer said Jim did a foundation-to-roof inspection and was honest about the building's shortcomings. In 2022 reviews, customers described Devin arriving early, labeling equipment manufacturing dates, tagging shutoff valves and walking through maintenance. A July 2022 buyer said Aiden did their inspection the day after their offer was accepted, sent the written report shortly after, and that the company helped with radon testing. A Reddit commenter on r/massachusetts recommended Jim Brock in August 2026. On Google, though, it holds 3.4 stars from 30 ratings. A February 2023 reviewer, while calling the inspections probably fine, criticized the company's Instagram conduct toward strangers. Its BBB page carries an A+ grade.
