Boston Roofing And Gutters

Boston Roofing and Gutters is a Quincy contractor with a decade-plus written record — reviews run from 2016 through mid-2026 — covering roof repair and replacement, gutter installation, siding, and skylight work across Greater Boston. It carries a BBB A+ rating and GAF certification, though its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is registry-verified expired. The reviews name a rotating cast of staff over the years — Hristo, Chris, Val, Guillermo, Ivanko — each described as responsive and willing to take on smaller jobs other companies turned down. Multiple reviewers say the company was the only one willing to help with a downspout replacement or a leaky vent repair after calling around; one 2022 review described a technician discovering a decades-old, incorrectly installed gutter system that two prior roofing companies had missed, and fixing it over a holiday weekend. A 2026 Reddit post described a fair price on a standard aluminum gutter job for a smaller house. There are two real complaints on file. In a 2022 review, a customer said the company scheduled an appointment and simply never showed up, with no call or message of any kind. And an older, 2017 Angi review — which Angi's own summary of the company's profile there singles out — described flashing installed so poorly that daylight was visible and a squirrel got into the house, plus a gutter that rattled in the wind. For roof or gutter work, especially a smaller job other contractors won't take, this company has an unusually long, mostly positive record. Given the expired state registration and the two documented service failures, it's worth confirming current licensing and getting a specific installation timeline and workmanship guarantee in writing.
