Bottom Line Oil sells heating oil for delivery, and its website pitches cheap, reliable delivery in the Springfield or Berkshire area. A 2022 customer who said they had been ordering from it for about 10 years called its prices among the lowest around and said delivery in their area in winter was on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. A 2022 customer whose tank had run completely empty said the company called first thing the next day after the order and said it could have someone there a day ahead. Its Better Business Bureau grade is A+, and the website lists 24/7 emergency service. A 2025 customer said oil was delivered to the wrong address on a lot with three buildings, that six calls about the mistake went unreturned, and that when the company did call it said the mistake was the customer's fault and would not refund over $600. That 2025 customer also said the company told them it was an online company, not an oil company. In a 2026 review, a customer said a service representative scolded them for waiting until their oil tank was empty and talked down to them. A 2019 customer wrote that the company advertised delivery within 24 hours but that delivery took two days or more, and that calling got a rude person saying there was nothing they could do to help.
Extremely rude customer service from a very condescending service representative who scolded me for waiting for my oil tank to be empty, as if I purposefully willed it to happen. She talked down to me like a child. If you hate your job so much, don’t work with the public and spread your toxic negativity to your customers, because you just lost one. Here’s hoping your day gets better and you don’t try to ruin anyone else’s with your toxicity.
Should be zero stars. I've ordered from this company for over a year w no problem and when they delivered oil to the wrong address due to confusion on my property ( 3 different buildings 1 lot) no phone call about the address confusion, no email. After calling 6 times about the mistake with zero calls back until today when I ordered again and left messages on the order site. They called today to state its my fault, wouldnt let me even finish a sentence and will not refund me over $600. ODDLY enough she made the mistake of stating "the driver was confused on the delivery so he knocked on the door of the property" but still claiming not their fault. Their reasoning for not calling is " WE ARE AN ONLINE COMPANY NOT AN OIL COMPANY " you order through them and they send it to oil companies. DONT BUY OIL HERE just go direct. The fill delivery directions from me on the order were clear.
Happy with the service we've received so far and I appreciate the pricing. We were completely empty this time and needed our system restarted, after I placed the order they called first thing the next day and said they could have someone here a day ahead of schedule. Really appreciated that. Thank you!
Been ordering from bottomline for about 10 years. Never had issues. They are one of the lowest prices around. Delivery in my area in winter on Mon, Wed, and Fridays. Can't ask for more. Always satisfied.
This company sucks. They advertise fast delivery within 24 hours, yeah right. It takes two days or more (usually 3 to 4 days for delivery). Don't bother calling them because you'll get some rude person saying that there's nothing they can do to help you.
