A customer writing in August 2025 described substantial problems with Bradford Builders' renovation of a wooden cabin: a separating shower insert, unfinished drywall that the customer repaired, and tracked equipment crossing a septic area they had asked the contractor to avoid. The Huntington company handles additions and remodeling, and says on its HomeAdvisor and Angi profiles that it has more than 20 years of carpentry experience serving residential and commercial customers. The 2025 customer also said drywall sanding left new mini-splits needing professional cleaning, an old exhaust-vent opening was not prepared for insulation, and plumbing and electrical costs were underestimated by thousands of dollars. They praised the carpentry team but criticized the contractor's oversight, saying they had paid a 20 percent premium. In a separate April 2019 Google review, a customer complained of overcharging, a worker being diverted to another job, and unfinished work left in a mess while the contractor sought more money. An older addition account was much more positive. In a March 2020 HomeAdvisor review, a homeowner described adding 650 square feet with two bedrooms and a four-season room, plus a deck with a slanted roof over a hot tub area. The reviewer said Brad Moreau stayed within the quoted budget and met the requested spring-to-before-cold-weather schedule. They credited him with suggesting a vaulted tongue-and-groove ceiling and space-saving pocket doors, and praised the subcontractors hired for the foundation, heating and cooling, electrical work and carpeting. Bradford Builders' Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active on the state registry. Its advertised services include decks, roofing, siding, windows and doors, along with kitchen and bathroom remodeling. Platform ratings differ sharply: Google lists one star from two ratings, while HomeAdvisor and Angi each list 4.4 stars from seven ratings.

“Trust me, we all know what you want” - “It’s just a little wooden cabin”, per contractor. • 3-piece shower insert is separating • Allowed tracked equipment through the septic area although we insisted he avoid that part of our property. • Drywall nails popping, gouges, over sanding, neglected sanding, seams showing, incomplete job we had to repair, then we primed and painted as agreed. • New mini splits used during drywall sanding required professional cleaning. • Hole in wall from previous exhaust vent not sealed or prepped for closed cell foam insulation application. • Contractor underestimated cost of plumbing and electric by thousands. • Cabinetry, our onus, after contractor presented an incomplete drawing and measurements. Carpentry team was easy to work with and did a good job, however; we paid a premium of 20% for a contractor who we felt was unfocused and never took the job seriously in the provision of appropriate oversight in renovating “our little wooden cabin”.

I added 650 sq. ft. to my house which included 2 large bedrooms (each with a closet) and a 4-season room. I also added a deck with a slanted roof over the hot tub area. It looks fabulous. Brad Moreau quoted me a price that was within my budget, and he stuck to it. He suggested options that added to the beauty of the project such as a stunning vaulted tongue and groove ceiling and pocket doors for the closets to save space. I was very specific that I needed the project to start in the spring and finish before the cold weather, and he was right on time. He hired sub-contractors for the foundation, heating/cooling, electricity and carpeting, and every one of them did an amazing job in a timely manner. All the workers were pleasant and conscientious about the job. I would definitely recommend hiring Bradford Builders for any construction project, and intend to hire them again in the future for other projects that I have planned.
