Brian Jones Construction is an East Freetown outfit that takes on the mix of small remodeling jobs a homeowner accumulates over the years — cabinet installs, deck and porch repairs, basement refinishing, bathroom tile, and interior or exterior painting. The company's directory profiles put it at 36 years in the trade. The written record is dated but consistent. In a 2016 review, a customer described a remodeling job where the response to schedule was quick and every question got answered promptly, calling the work high quality and adding Jones was now on their short list for future jobs. Another 2016 reviewer summed it up in five words: "HE WAS GREAT I WOULD HIRE HIM AGAIN." A 2020 review of a two-day project needing drying time praised punctuality and clear explanations of the options, and said the reviewer had already recommended Brian to two friends. A 2021 entry is unusual — the reviewer admitted they hadn't actually hired him yet but left a five-star note anyway just to close out a stuck app, calling Brian great on reputation rather than completed work. Both Angi and HomeAdvisor carry an identical set of these four reviews and the same self-reported facts, including a Massachusetts trade license (#183989, listed as expiring 10/23/2026) attached to the business — a directory claim worth confirming directly, since neither platform verifies it against the state registry. What's worth asking about before booking: nothing in writing is newer than 2021, so it's fair to check current availability and see recent work firsthand. For a homeowner juggling several small-to-midsize jobs — a deck repair here, a painting job there, a basement refinish down the line — the reviews that exist describe a responsive, communicative contractor. Confirm the license status and get a look at recent projects before signing on.

I really dislike this app but Brian is great. Honestly I have not even hired him yet but I have to leave a review so that I can close this project on the stupid app.
2 day project needing drying time (8 hrs total). Already recommended him to 2 friends. Very Prompt, showed up on time, clean & courteous, very helpful and explained the options to me.
Quick response to schedule appointment, promptly answers all questions, very respective, high quality of work. Already looking at him for several other jobs. Strongly recommend him. Was leary of home advisor before after many bad experiences. Glad I tried again and found Jones construction he will be on my short list of contactors in the future.
