Britton Construction and GM Chris Currier were fabulous to work with. Chris and Bob Britton partnered with us from the start of the project. They referred us to an architect that listened to our wants and needs and delivered. Chris was in constant contact with us throughout the entire build, tackling issues as they arose and keeping us in the loop of each phase of the project. Chris was always responsive and answered questions that we had and was adept at problem solving. We would highly recommend this firm for their experience, attention to detail, quality workmanship and on time completion! We are very happy in our new home.
Britton construction performed a complete renovation of our 1930's style bungalow. The house was gutted to the studs and a 3/4 second floor was expanded to a complete floor. We increased the square footage from 1400 SQF to 2,100. Britton's attention to details was what really stood out. In addition we had a tight time schedule and Chris Currier's ability to work with the subcontractors to keep on schedule allowed us to meet our deadline. At the end, the final punch list and other finishing issues were handled in a timely and professional manner. We are still receiving compliments on the design of the exterior and the fine interior details.
Britton Construction was a great design/build firm to work with. We had architectural plans that we threw away because Bob Britton had such great ideas about how to make our home more livable for this century while respecting its Victorian past. From design to framing to tile work, Britton's work was the highest quality. - Colleen and Mark Quinn, Newburyport
We partnered with Britton Construction to not only renovate our 1850's colonial home, but also to build an addition on the home that essentially doubled the home's square footage. It was a tricky renovation as our goal was to seamlessly merge the existing home and its nuances with the new construction. Fortunately, we achieved our goal as not one guest to our home has yet to be able to identify where the old construction meets the new! Overall, Britton did a fabulous job in building our dream home! While we had very detailed architectural plans, Britton was excellent in providing recommendations on how to further improve upon our plans as the building commenced and to also provide solutions when the drawings did not match reality. The Project Manager, Chris, was on-site every day and was always available. More importantly to us, there were always sub-contractors working on the house every day so no time was wasted! Chris also did a great job managing us and giving us proper lead time to pick out finishing elements from light fixtures to kitchen hardware. We were incredibly hands on during the building process and I'm sure drove Chris nuts, but he always remained supportive of us and our wishes. After the construction was complete, we did have a few issues surface with the home. Britton was very quick to resolve the issues. Should we ever need a builder again in the future, we would definitely reach out to Britton!
Unbelievable talent! Everything that was performed met or exceeded expectations. I would refer this outfit to anyone looking to hire locally.
