Brooks Moving

Brooks Moving is a family-owned mover based in Merrimack; its website says the company began in 1983 with one truck and now handles residential, commercial, local, and long-distance moves, packing, specialty items, and storage across New Hampshire. Recent Google reviewers repeatedly describe crews arriving on time, working quickly, handling furniture carefully, and communicating clearly. Customers mention full-house moves, two-location deliveries, heavy woodworking equipment, a 370-pound safe, last-minute scheduling, packing, and moving refrigerators; a June 2026 reviewer specifically praised the crew for placing beds in the new house so the family could sleep that night. Another recent customer said Brooks was the only company willing to quote a small two-dresser move at a fair price. The written feedback is strongly positive, but it is not unanimous. A September 2024 Google review says items were left behind, some belongings were broken, and the crew was unprofessional. The BBB lists a B- grade and one complaint, so ask how damage claims, missed items, and complaint resolution are handled before booking. A 2024 Patch report also mentions an allegation involving a $1,500 check written to Brooks Moving from a closed account; it is a reported accusation, not a finding about the company’s moving work. Brooks Moving looks suited to local and regional household moves, packing, specialty-item handling, and commercial relocations. Confirm the written estimate, inventory, arrival window, protection terms, and the company’s current USDOT information before the truck arrives.
