Buchta Oil Services

Buchta Oil Services describes itself as a full service fuel oil company that also sells, installs and services heating systems, and its website names Branford, Guilford, Madison and Clinton as its service area. A 2026 customer who was running out of oil on the coldest day of the decade said Buchta came out within an hour. A 2026 reviewer wrote that Buchta was the only company willing to deliver oil before the snowstorm when everyone else refused. A 2026 customer who called in the evening for a delivery wrote that they "arrived with 20 min to service me." The work goes past the oil truck. A 2025 customer of almost 30 years said Buchta replaced their furnace, oil tank and water heater over the past 10 years and has dialed in their oil usage to deliver when needed; that reviewer also said there has been new ownership in the past few years, under someone who had worked for the company before. A 2025 customer said Bud and his team removed and replaced an old leaking basement oil tank in half a day and left the place neat. A recent customer who has worked with Buchta since the 1990s, first at their parents' house, said the company services their own house now and called it honest and responsive. Its BBB grade is A+.
