Budget Exteriors is a siding and roofing contractor run by Lou Milano, according to its BuildZoom and HomeAdvisor profiles, with a Lawrence address, and Houzz and HomeAdvisor listings at a Woburn office and a base in Pelham, NH. The company says it has more than 25 years of home improvement experience and markets lower-cost "factory cost" pricing on siding, roofing, windows, decks and gutters. In a June 2025 Google review, a customer said the siding job started a month late, the crew ordered too little siding and left the house partly unsided for weeks, trim was falling off within six months and attic doors were never finished properly. In November 2024, a HomeAdvisor reviewer said the company had been out five times to fix their roof and it was still leaking, and a BuildZoom reviewer the same month said the crew came back many times and never got the roof right. A November 2021 HomeAdvisor customer said siding and trim problems and uninstalled shutters were never fixed once the job was paid. In a June 2020 review, a customer described a tear-off and new siding in May 2020 and praised the follow-up from Lou, John and Angel; a March 2020 Houzz reviewer had a roof and siding job that ran into unforeseen structural work mid-project and was happy with how project manager Angel handled it. A November 2017 customer got a quote from John the same night and had the job done in one day. On Thumbtack, a November 2019 reviewer said John explained the roofing basics and gave a free quote, and a March 2025 reviewer said he walked them around to show the options and gave more detailed information than any other vendor. The worst experience of my life! Not only did the siding on my house start a month later than expected, they also didnt order the right amount of siding so they left my house unsided for a few weeks. They really lack communication skills. When you call the owner with an issue, he changes the subject and basically tries to talk in circles to avoid the issue. Parts of trim are already falling off after less than 6 months. The doors to our attic on the outside of the house were never completed properly, so with any wind they fly open and slam into the house causing damage. We called to have them fix the issue and they never came, so now we have lost all hope of having it fixed. They didnt put the flashing on our gutters, and then told us they could fix it in a way that would create more of an issue or leave it alone, so we had to pay someone else to fix the problem they created. I fear that I will have to seek legal advice because I am now spending more money to pay for the mistakes that have been made and they refuse to fix.
John was through in explaining process, options , and walking around with us to show us options . We received much more detailed information from Budget than any other vendor .
This company does horrible work> Lou Milano and his team are scam artist> They did an horrible job on my roof and came back so many times to do the roof and still didn't get it right. Do not do business with this company

The company has been out five times to fix our roof and it is still leaking. Budget exterior is a front for Lou they have businesses in Lawrence, Saugus, Woburn Massachusetts, also in Pelham, New Hampshire . Budget Exterior does not know how to fix roofs. Do not do any business with Budget Exteriors .
Budget Exteriors were extremely professional, Lou was responsive on a timely manner and the job was completed in a timely manner. They did high quality work; resided a 3-family home that sits on a very windy hill. The house looks great. I recommend this company.
