Burke's Excavating

A repaired leaching field and excavation for a house addition feature in dated customer accounts of Burke’s Excavating. The Sagamore company says founder Walter Burke owns and operates the business and that it has served Cape Cod, Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard and Plymouth County for more than 30 years. Its website lists site excavation, septic installation, demolition, lot clearing, road and driveway work, drainage, utilities, yard preparation and trucking or hauling for residential and commercial customers. The company says Burke began his construction career at 18 in Maine before returning to Massachusetts to start the business. In a November 2022 Google review, a customer said Walt and his team repaired a leaching field, kept the site safe and clean, and answered calls or returned them promptly. A general contractor writing in February 2024 described several projects with Walt and his team, praising their knowledge, responsiveness and clean, safe work sites. Another February 2024 reviewer described working with Burke’s Excavating on an addition to their house. They said the staff kept them informed at each stage and addressed concerns promptly. In June 2023, a customer praised Eric and Walt for being prompt; an October 2023 reviewer described construction work and said the company was honest and priced right. Google lists a 5-star average from five ratings.
