Bussco is not a house-call electrician. The Malden company describes itself as a locally owned commercial and industrial electrical contractor working for commercial, industrial and government clients, and its Better Business Bureau service list reads accordingly: medium-voltage feeders, dry-type transformers, fire alarm and generator control systems, fibre optic and data wiring, exterior site lighting, bucket truck service and ground-up construction. What can be checked, checks out. The Massachusetts electrician licence, 11585, is active on the state registry, held by Steven K Bussell. The Better Business Bureau accredits the company at an A+ and lists 18 years in business. BuildZoom gives it a score of 95, which it puts in the top 22% of Massachusetts contractors, and shows 29 permitted electrical projects going back to 2008. Customer writing is another matter. There is one review, from May 2017, praising the customer service and low pricing, sitting behind a three-star average across two Google ratings. A 2017 Law360 listing carries a federal case captioned for the use and benefit of Bussco, Inc. against a general contractor, Monument Construction, LLC. For a commercial fit-out, a generator or fire alarm system, site lighting or a fibre run, the permit history and the live licence are what there is to work from. Ask for project references from the past two years, since so little has been written down since 2017 — and for work inside a house, look elsewhere.
