The company's website says its journey started 42 years ago alongside the writer's father, Ernest, and mother, Suzanne, and that Ernest started the company. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0561152, is active on the state registry, held by C & R Insulation Inc. A 2025 Google customer said they added a second story in fall 2024, and that Jason and his crew walked them through what was going on and kept a very clean and tidy workspace. A 2024 customer said Jason and his team replaced the fiberglass insulation in their crawl space and put spray foam insulation under an elevated room, working in a very confined space and finishing on schedule. “we hired C&R Insulation directly to do the work. Once C&R was done we were able to get a refund for 70% of the materials through the state.”
In today’s times it’s hard to find good contractors. So when I hire out work I like to leave honest reviews to help the next customer out. I hired C & R to insulate the 2nd floor and attic in our house. They did a great job. Fast , efficient. great communication. Highly recommend.
Absolutely amazed at the quality of workmanship from C&R insulation . We added a second story on our house fall of 2024 . Jason and his crew came in and far exceeded our expectations everything from walking us through what was going on to the very clean and tidy workspace . We went our first winter with the up stairs it was amazing with holding heat in. So fast forward to spring of 2025 we hired C&R again to update the old first floor “1968” insulation and wow I can’t believe it yet again on the workmanship and attention to detail his crew provided . Truly if you want the best in workmanship and proper install it’s a one stop shop at C&R . I honestly can’t thank you enough Jason and the crew for the absolutely amazing work you guys did / do . THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!!!! Jordan H
They did a great job, were affordable, and were willing to work with our crazy schedules to be here. Would hire again.
This is a pathetic story. I'm embarrassed to share it. C&R did a job at my home over a year ago. His crew was good. They move fast and efficiently. But they make errors that they don't make right. His crew broke a window. No one disputes who broke the window. Jason said he'd repair it. He just never made good on his word. I'd call and he'd give this "I'm so embarrassed" spiel. He still never made good on his word. Months ago I agreed to his proposal to pay me $100 to fix it. I requested the check. I never received the check. The funny thing is I like Jason, had several pleasant interactions with him. I like and trust his crew. And so ends this sad little tale.
This is the first time that we use this company and they did a very good job. The price was reasonable. They showed up when they said they would. They didn’t leave until the job is done. We were very satisfied with the work.
