Cape Cod Affordable Hauling

Two full loads of furniture and trash came out of a Mashpee townhouse in one customer's account of hiring Cape Cod Affordable Hauling. Writing in August 2026, they said the crew arrived on time, took TVs and electronics along with the other items, and left the house spotless. They praised transparent, reasonable pricing. The company describes itself as a family-owned, Black-owned junk-removal, light-demolition and hauling business based in Buzzards Bay, serving Cape Cod and South Coast Massachusetts. It says George T. Washington is the owner-operator and traces the Washington family's hauling history to George B. Washington's founding of Washington Garbage Removal in Hyannis in 1865. Google lists a 5-star average from 795 ratings; its BBB grade is A+. Customers describe work ranging from single-item pickups to house cleanouts. An August 2026 Falmouth reviewer said George and his team removed old basement furniture and charged a fair price. A Wareham reviewer that month described large-branch and yard-debris removal, praising the estimate and hauling process. A July customer said George removed broken concrete pavers in Falmouth and was punctual and quick. Moving help appears in separate accounts. In July 2026, a repeat customer in Mashpee said the crew unloaded a POD into a finished walkout basement apartment, carrying heavy furniture, boxes and bins down a steep slope and through a slider door. They praised careful handling and an on-time arrival the morning after contacting George. An April reviewer said they had hired the company twice at their Orleans property for hauling and moving things around on-site, and praised Mike and Tyrone's competence, friendliness and adaptability. That customer advised defining the scope with George T. Washington up front and putting down a small deposit. An April 2026 Falmouth customer said the team confirmed which items should be disposed of and which should be left alone, then cleared a two-bedroom cottage in less than an hour. A customer writing in June 2025 about furniture removal from a second-floor Brewster condo said the final price matched the estimate despite additional items being removed. One January 2025 Google reviewer complained of a late arrival, failure to follow the website's estimating instructions, no cash-payment receipt and having to help load the truck. They also alleged deliberate damage to plants. In contrast, a July 2024 Plymouth customer described George and Mike taking a door off its hinges and dismantling a large couch to remove it through a difficult doorway, praising the care and reasonable price.
