Cape Cod Biofuels is a Sandwich, MA renewable-fuel company founded in 2008 by co-founders Andrew Davison and Jim Chace, who still own and run it together. The company describes itself as veteran-owned and family-owned; its core business collects used cooking oil from Cape Cod restaurants and refines it into Bioheat and biodiesel, which it delivers as home heating oil, commercial and marine fuel across Cape Cod and the South Shore. It says it also runs its own HVAC and plumbing service arms for the same customers. Every review reaching this profile is five stars, 34 in total from 2022 through 2026 across six sources, with no negative reviews in the last six months. The pattern is consistent year over year: reviewers praise fast, same-day or next-day oil delivery, including emergency fills during freezing weather that other suppliers quoted a week out for, along with friendly, responsive drivers and office staff and an easy-to-use online ordering system. Several reviewers describe long relationships — one says they've used the company for over a decade, another for 12 years, and multiple others for around 10 — and one names owner Andy and office staffer Zara by name as easy to deal with. A 2025 review describes a same-day double-wall oil tank installation at a home in East Sandwich, completed in a few hours. The review base is almost entirely about fuel delivery. No review in the record describes a furnace, boiler, air-conditioning, or plumbing job specifically, so while the company's own site lays out detailed HVAC and plumbing service pages, that side of the business doesn't yet have independent customer feedback behind it here. The company holds a BBB A+ letter grade but is not a BBB Accredited Business, and BBB categorizes it only under "Biofuels," not HVAC or plumbing. It also states certifications as the only ASTM D6751-certified biodiesel producer in Massachusetts, an EPA Environmental Merit Award, and memberships in the Sustainable Advanced Biofuel Refiners, the Massachusetts Restaurant Association, and the National Biodiesel Board. For Cape Cod or South Shore homeowners who need heating-oil delivery, especially on short notice, the review record here is deep, consistent, and free of complaints. Anyone hiring specifically for HVAC or plumbing work should ask directly about licensing and recent examples of that work, since the reviews reaching this profile don't yet speak to it.
“Cape Cod Biofuels signs new distribution partnership”
My husband and I recently moved into our new home in Forestdale, and we had no idea there was barely any oil left upon moving in, and during the middle of a cold snap! I called multiple companies, but no one could provide same-day service (totally understandable) but Cape Cod Bio Fuels came to our rescue! We've stuck with them ever since. They're friendly, timely and also offer a discount if you use cash. They're the best!
So responsive and accommodating every time!!
I needed a last minute top up of my oil tank at our house in Hyannis. Due to the time of year and freezing conditions, other suppliers were quoting 7 day delivery timescale. CCB filled my tank within 3 hours. Fantastic service and saved our home from freezing pipes..
