Cape Cod Plumbing and Heating is a family-run shop out of South Dennis that handles plumbing, heating, gas work, water heaters and boilers across the Cape, along with seasonal home opening and closing for the area's many second homes. The Hibbard family's own site traces the company back four generations, saying "my grandfather purchased our company over fifty years ago" and putting its start at 1960 -- though the Better Business Bureau's filing lists the business as started in 1994 and incorporated in 2003, so the two accounts of the company's age don't quite line up. What customers who've hired them describe is straightforward: on Google, reviewers from 2017 and 2021 both called the crew quick and courteous, with the 2017 review adding that the office was prompt about returning calls and pricing was reasonable. The Better Business Bureau gives the company an A+ grade with no complaints or actions on file. Not every account is glowing -- in a 2019 review, a homeowner described a shower-handle repair where the plumber flagged a possibly stripped screw and the two sides didn't see eye to eye on how it was handled. Before booking, it's worth asking directly about how they'd handle a similar snag if one comes up mid-repair -- it's the one specific complaint amid an otherwise clean track record with the BBB and on Google. For a Cape Cod homeowner who wants a local, family-run plumber and heating contractor for routine repairs or seasonal shutdowns, this is a reasonable call to make; just confirm scope and pricing up front.

Always very courteous and quick service. Highly recommend this family owned business.
We had Cape Cod Plumbing come to our home in Dennisport to repair the shower handle. The plumber finished the repair and he was ready to insert the last screw and said it might possibly be stripped and asked if we had any screws. He went through our jar of screws and couldn't find a similar screw. The plumber left to go get a new screw; returned and finished the job. When we received the bill in the mail we were charged for "stock" to the tune of almost $100. For a screw? Not honest people. Not to be trusted. And now are being charged finance charges.
These guys are fantastic. Wonderful, quick and courteous service. The office staff is prompt with returning calls and the plumbers themselves are on time. Reasonably priced and quality work. I highly recommend them.
