Catseye sells exclusion as much as extermination — sealing a house up so the animals cannot get back in — and the numbers in its customers' own accounts run into the thousands. A Reddit poster in 2018 said they were quoted $3,200 to trap and release and then repair and seal their soffits. A complaint on the company's BBB page describes a $6,000 CatGuard rodent-exclusion system. The Massachusetts end of the business works out of Hopkinton, one of seven locations under Catseye USA LLC, headquartered in Latham, New York. Its listed work is animal exclusion, pest control and extermination, and wildlife removal, and BBB has it accredited with an A+ grade. The favorable accounts are older ones. In July 2017 a customer paid $2,500 and wrote that the mice were gone for good; that October another said the treatment covered the entire property and worked; in August 2018 a customer whose first capture attempt failed said the crew came back and reset the traps without any hassle. The newer ones are complaints. In March 2025 a customer wrote that over five months and more than $1,500, not one mouse was caught and no bait was taken, that they still saw mice in the house, and that no refund was offered. In October 2023 another wrote that $900 of mole treatment left the moles more active, moving out of the mulch beds and across the lawn within 24 hours of the first treatment. The company's BBB page carries 11 complaints in the last three years, among them a dispute over a $6,000 rodent-exclusion system that the customer says never fixed the mouse problem across a full year of service and left their patio paving damaged. There is also a question hanging over the reviews. In its own reply on the Angi and HomeAdvisor listing, the company says two of the five-star reviews were written by former customers who had become employees and that those reviews were removed — they are still in the set shown. And in February 2017 a customer who had just paid wrote that they then found a review on the company's website from the salesman who had come to their home. If you are weighing the exclusion work, treat it as the construction job it is: get the scope, the warranty and the refund or re-treatment terms in writing before you pay, and settle up front what happens if the mice are still there in six months. That is exactly where the unhappy customers ended up.
