Solar panels are where Critter Control of Greater Boston keeps showing up in its own reviews — squirrels, sparrows, and raccoons setting up under rooftop arrays, and the same names, Howard, Ricardo, Adam, Ben, and Alex, turning up again to install exclusion hardware around them. The Waltham-based company carries a 4.9-star average across 324 Google ratings, built on a review history that runs back to 2019 across four sites. The most recent jobs bear that out. Earlier this month a homeowner had squirrel guards put on a solar array, with Howard walking through the estimate and Ricardo doing the install. In April, a different array kept drawing sparrows; the crew had to come back four times to get the hardware cloth right, and didn't charge extra for the return trips. Pigeon trouble shows up twice in the same stretch — one case solved with mesh netting around downspouts, another where a technician's system stopped droppings from ruining a deck. A rodent problem that had stumped other companies got cleared up too, and in February the owner personally worked a job pulling raccoons out of an attic. A customer who's called them for both ants and mice over the years says the response has stayed quick and professional. Two recent reviews are about the edges of the business rather than the fieldwork. In late May, someone calling about a dead-animal removal said the phone was answered rudely and was told the company wasn't taking new customers. In early April, another reviewer said the company's trucks park illegally, blocking sidewalks and bike lanes even when open spots were available nearby. Neither touches the quality of the wildlife work itself, but both are recent enough to ask about before you call. For squirrels, birds, or raccoons getting into a roof, attic, or solar array around greater Boston, this is a shop with 324 Google ratings averaging 4.9 and a recent review history that still names individual technicians by job. Get a written scope before booking, and if solar panels are involved, ask what the follow-up plan is if the animal comes back.

They installed squirrel guards on our solar array. Howard was very knowledgeable and did a great job giving the estimate and explaining the process. Ricardo did an excellent inatallation. Everyone was great to work with.

I have had an annoying rodent problem for awhile because my neighbor has piles of debris in his yard. Other companies have not been able to help stop it, not until I called Critter Control. They have skilled technicians and their service and methods of stopping mice infestations are excellent. Thank you Critter Control. RMP, Waltham

I was having a problem with birds nesting above my deck and grilling area (high above), Critter Control installed mesh netting around the downspouts to prevent birds nesting. So far this has worked! I hope I don’t have to, but if the need arises, I will definitely use Critter Control again in the future.

Had a pigeon problem. Dan came right out and gave me an estimate. My deck was being destroyed with pigeon excrement. Dan employed a system that completely eliminated the problem. Thanks Dan. Outstanding job!

Craig came out and was informative, courteous, and professional. He explained the issues we were having in a way that I could understand and recommended treatments and interventions that are known to be effective.
