Cedrone Contracting is a small, family-run general contractor based in Mashpee, run directly by Chris and Katerina Cedrone, working across a wide swath of Cape Cod — Mashpee, East Falmouth, Barnstable, Sandwich, Wareham and more — on kitchen and bathroom remodels, additions, basement finishing, decks, and window, door and siding work. Its Massachusetts home-improvement-contractor registration is active.
The company's Google and Porch review averages sit around 4.7 to 4.8 stars, and the individual accounts back that up with specifics. Reviewers describe a bathroom remodel that replaced a tub with a walk-in shower and new flooring, a from-scratch basement rebuild after insurance-related water damage (Chris was recommended directly by the insurance company), a 300-square-foot addition, several rounds of window and smaller repair work at one customer's Cape house over multiple years, and quick, responsive communication throughout. Several customers describe hiring the company more than once.
There's a real complaint on the record too: a Better Business Bureau review described a difficult renovation experience, and said that after posting it, other people reached out with similar concerns of their own — a pattern worth taking seriously alongside the otherwise strong review record. Separately, BuildZoom shows two older Massachusetts license numbers for the company now inactive or cancelled, alongside the current, independently verified active registration.
There's also a discrepancy worth flagging: the Better Business Bureau's file shows the business starting in 2017, while the company's own site says it was founded in 1996 and brought to Cape Cod in 2012, describing 29 years in business overall — those are two different timelines for how long the company has actually operated.
For a kitchen, bathroom, addition, or basement project on Cape Cod, Cedrone Contracting has a solid run of specific, positive reviews and a currently verified license; the one negative account on file, and the mismatched founding dates, are both worth asking about directly before signing on.
