That willingness to take the awkward work runs through eleven years of accounts about this Plymouth painting company, whose Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (#173254) is active on the state registry under CELTIC COLOR'S INC. The work people describe is interior and exterior repainting with real prep behind it: extensive ceiling repair in a house built in 1900, scraped and repainted radiators, wallpaper stripped and walls primed before a single coat went on, kitchen cabinets refinished. A May 2026 customer had the exterior painted and said the crew replaced gutters and repaired wood rot along the way, showing up every day until it was done. The company's Houzz page lists cabinet refinishing, deck staining, drywall repair and colour consulting alongside the painting, and says it has been at it more than ten years. Seamus is the name that keeps appearing. A 2023 customer called him about minor trim issues after the job; he and the team were back at 7:30 the next morning, and fixed a couple of unrelated things they spotted while there. BuildZoom lists James Crowe as the owner. A 2020 reviewer, a repeat customer over many years, described the pricing as reasonable and competitive; a 2020 homeowner said the estimate matched the final invoice. The honest caveat is volume and staleness of source: thirteen reviews across six sites, every one of them five stars, and eight of them from 2020 or earlier. An unblemished record that thin is encouraging rather than conclusive. Two other things worth pinning down: the years in business don't agree between profiles — Angi's listing claims 21 years while the company's own Houzz blurb says over ten — and BuildZoom publishes a different phone number, (508) 747-7961, than the (508) 524-8212 on its Houzz page, so use the number from whichever profile the company itself maintains. For a South Shore homeowner with a demanding repaint — high ceilings, an old house, wallpaper to strip, cabinets to refinish — this is a sensible call. Confirm the licence number against the state registry yourself, get the scope and the ceiling-repair work itemised in writing, and ask who is running your job.
