A shower door made to measure and a mirror cut down and reinstalled are among the jobs customers describe at Central Glass in West Bridgewater. In a March 2026 Google review, a customer said the shower-door process was quick, the price fair, and the finished door looked good. The same customer praised the price of the mirror work, although they had not discussed that price beforehand. Central Glass says it has been in business for 75 years. Its listed offerings include residential glass repair and replacement, shower and bath enclosures, and contract glazing. The Massachusetts state registry confirms that home improvement contractor registration 174779 is active under CENTRAL GLASS COMPANY, INC. Its BBB page carries an A+ grade. Google shows a 4.3-star average from 31 ratings. Customers also describe responsive service. An April 2026 reviewer praised Christina's responsiveness and the installer's work, saying everything happened as planned. In a March 2026 review, another customer praised Christina Haskins for communication, helping them understand the products, and meeting their timeline. A separate March reviewer said staff called when their purchase was ready for pickup. A March 2026 customer described a different experience: glass that was damaged, marked and the wrong thickness, along with incorrectly sized holes. The customer disputed the office manager's response and said they had never received a work order to approve. After discussions about a replacement and a rush order, the reviewer said they accepted a refund and took the sample to another glass company. Central Glass advertises 24/7 emergency service. Its website also directs customers to leave a message in an Emergency Mailbox and says the company will touch base the next business day to coordinate the repair.
I just completed an excellent experience with Central Glass. From the beginning they (Christina) were very responsive. The installer was also a pleasure to work with and the result was great. Everything happened as planned
Central glass was easy to find using Google maps. The folks working were knowledgeable and polite . The purchase process was easy and they called when it was ready for pickup. I'd definitely be doing my glass needs in the future with Central.. Thanks
We had a new shower door measured, made and installed. Process was quick, price was fair and service was excellent. It looked great. We also had a mirror removed, cut to size and re-installed. We had not discussed price for that work, but it ended up being very reasonable. Everyone we worked with was friendly and worked hard to do things professionally. Highly recommend!
Christina Haskins was the most attentive and helpful service rep I’ve dealt with recently. Extremely communicative and responsive, meet the timeline I needed and helped to better understand the products I was looking for. A great experience from start to finish
EDITED TO REACT TO THE OFFICE MANAGERS RESPONSE ---- I was never provided with a work order to approve. If you can provide the approved work order with my signature on it then I'll take my review down. Christina took measurements of the glass the day that I came to your place of business, so that she could order the product. The frame was there - I would encourage you to check your cameras. The thickness of the glass sample that I brought in also did not change, so the measurements that were taken of the sample by Christina should have been correct. After pickup, I realized that one piece of the glass was broken and that there were black marks all over the front of the glass. I agreed to allow you to order it, and paid extra to have the order done. This morning, I brought the piece of glass back and asked to check if the glass that had been produced would fit into the frame and that the holes were the correct size - the size of hole that was measured by Christina was 1/8 inch, they actually needed to be 1/4. a tech from the shop made recommendations on how to get the damaged glass to fit - AND STATED THAT THE GLASS THAT I HAD WAS 3/16. I called 15 different glass companies and asked if they had 3/16 glass. I was told by all of them that it is not a product that anyone carries. I accidentally ended up calling one of your suppliers who told me that they had 5/32 glass and that if you ordered it from them they could rush it. I was willing to accept something that would work, with adaptation, in order to get the project done. I went back into the shop, asked for this to be done and was told that it was impossible to ask for a rush and that 5/32 would rattle in the frame and that they thought I should take a refund. I took the refund. I took my sample to another glass company. They measured it... The glass I brought is 5/32... Not 1/4 inch, which is what you produced - or 3//16 which your tech stated was the thickness, but 5/32. This company is going to have the glass ready for me on Friday. Again, provide the approved work order and I'll take my review down. I was able to screenshot a picture of the receipt that was emailed to me - because I paid over the phone after agreeing to have produced to what Christina measured. ***** END OF UPDATED REVIEW Terrible service. Do NOT go here. Christina measured my glass to order. I received my order, it was damaged they said from polishing the edge. Their tech said it was rubber marks from the truck. One of the corners was also broken. The glass was also the wrong thickness, which I would have only discovered after waiting 2-3 weeks for what they had to reorder, if I had not gone back the following day to make sure what they were ordering would be correct. When it was realized that would have been ordered was incorrect I had to leave the product with them. I started making phone calls and ended up on the phone with one of their suppliers who told me that central glass could order direct from them but I could not. When I went back and explained this to Christina, she said “this isn’t something you’d be comfortable just dealing with Lucid on your own? Without involving us?” As if she didn’t want to own her mistake and fix it - even though I had done the legwork for her. Fallan stated the best thing to do would be to give a refund. Now, I’m a week and a half into trying to find glass when they said they could take care of it. AWFUL!!!!
