Century Masonry, Restoration & Waterproofing

Century Masonry, Restoration & Waterproofing is run by a mason who goes by Steve, offering masonry, restoration, basement waterproofing and carpentry work, according to the company's own site. The written record is short — just three reviews from 2022 to 2025 — and it's a mixed one. Two of the three describe real satisfaction with the work. A 2022 review described a full restoration and waterproofing of a garage, calling Steve fully committed to quality with no corner cutting, and a June 2025 review said Steve personally walked the customer through every step of a masonry finishing job, which the reviewer said made the whole process much more reassuring. The third account, from August 2025, describes a masonry job on a Back Bay building that went wrong on communication: after a memo asked residents to clear objects from their balconies before the work began, the crew apparently removed the balcony flooring itself rather than just the objects on it. With a short and mixed written record, it's worth having a clear, specific conversation about scope before work begins — exactly what will and won't be touched — and asking for a couple of recent references given how few accounts are on file.
