A recent Google customer says they have used Joel more than they can count and calls him affordable, nice and hard working. A 2025 customer recommended the service and wrote that its prices "won't leave your wallet empty." A 2024 customer said the service was fast and on time. A 2019 customer said he quoted over the phone and did not charge more after extra stuff was added. A 2020 reviewer wrote that he quoted a price to remove a sofa and said he would call back, but no call came after several days and calls back to him were not returned. A 2006 telegram.com article reported that Health Inspector James W. Philbrook issued a citation to Mr. Checka, noting his property was "littered with debris."

My wife called last week to have a sofa removed. He quoted her a price and said he’d call back when he checked his schedule. We waited several days and no call. We tried calling him back multiple times. Although his answering message says he’ll call back “promptly “, he doesn’t call back. Very disappointing.
Love this guy! Very friendly, professional and best pricing. He is always accommodating and takes as much as he can. Hands down best around! Regarding the post stating "he doesn't answer phone calls" - be patient...he is extremely busy due to his awesomeness. It may take him a while but he more than makes up for it with his attitude and patience.
