Philip P. Massad Movers is a Worcester outfit with real depth behind its numbers — 4.8 stars across 196 Google ratings, and a BBB page that's carried an A+ grade since the company was accredited in March 2005. Reviews on file run from 2021 through this summer, and the crews doing the actual carrying are named again and again: Dan, Tony, James, Paul, Phil. The specialty that shows up over and over is care with the hard stuff. One reviewer describes a baby grand piano moved from an old house to a new one with no scratches or broken parts, another mentions heavy furniture and a piano moved together without incident. The company also handles distance — a 2026 review describes a dual move managed over several weeks, one leg from Massachusetts to Florida and the other to New York, and a Grafton-to-Cape-Cod move used a two-day option to spread out a full-home relocation. The BBB listing covers storage too, and a few reviewers mention keeping items in storage for weeks between moves. Off Google, a 2022 Reddit thread asking for moving recommendations named them 'amazing' and said they didn't disappoint. Not everything has gone smoothly. A 2026 review describes a quoted estimate that came in about $600 short, though the same customer said the crew still handled the move with care. Another from the same month describes movers confusing the address and not listening to instructions about which items to leave alone. And in an October 2025 review — echoed in nearly identical wording on BBB — a customer described damaged furniture, missing items, and a rude response after asking about insurance, adding they planned to pursue it in small claims court. For a piano, a multi-state relocation, or a full-house pack ahead of a closing, the volume of specific, positive Google reviews here holds up. Given the estimate and damage complaints, it's worth getting the quote in writing and asking upfront how the company handles a damage claim.
“Try Philip P. Massad, they were amazing. They came highly recommended and didn't disappoint at all.”
Great crew, took great care of everything.
Estimate was short by about $600 which was frustrating. However the crew handled everything with care and stuff was well packed. They were on time in the morning but took longer than estimated. I would use their services again.
Movers were professional and friendly. They arrived on time and worked all day until the job was done. They took good care of all our belongings and ensured we were satisfied before they left. I would use them again and recommend them to family and friends.
If I could give six stars I would! The boys (Tony and Dan) were at the house right on time, early in the morning and moved super quick! My couch wasn’t fitting in through the new apartments front door space, they worked together and moved the couch in through the window! Dedicated, professional, and super personable! Will definitely request them again for our next move!
Dan and Dave were total pros, on time, efficient and great attitude. Super helpful !!!
