It is based in Sandwich. Those long relationships included difficult removal work. In one May 2024 review, a customer said Pete and his team removed a massive fallen tree from an area that was difficult to access during the preceding winter. Another customer, writing that same month, described the crew removing six tall pines and fifteen mature oaks after a consultation with Pete. The customer praised punctual arrival, care around neighboring plants and shrubs, and debris cleanup; Pete also suggested trees suited to the area. A May 2024 customer described safe removal of a large white pine that was dropping branches, and said Peter identified and removed other split or compromised trees. Another reviewer that month said the crew had removed large trees and branches efficiently, cleaned up afterward and either hauled away the wood or left wood chips. The ongoing care described by customers went beyond removals. A May 2024 reviewer who had used Pete Childs and the crew for more than ten years listed integrated pest management, tree and shrub fertilization, perimeter spraying for ticks, and major pruning and removal. That customer also praised Pete's familiarity with conservation regulations and agents. Another May 2024 customer near Cape Cod Bay described care for young trees exposed to winter winds and said the trees had survived and thrived. Google lists Childs Arborists at five stars from 11 ratings. In a May 2024 review, a customer who had worked with Pete and his team for several years praised timely support for both routine maintenance and emergency response.
