Chrysalis Hardwoods - Boston is a hardwood flooring contractor based in Arlington, Massachusetts, run by Adel (Adel Farag), who does hands-on refinishing and installation work himself alongside a small team. Every review on file so far — 11 in total, all from 2025 — describes hands-on, detail-oriented craftsmanship: refinishing a damaged parquet floor, installing engineered hardwood, seamlessly matching new boards into a 75-year-old red oak floor in a Falmouth Cape house, and rebuilding a basement floor torn up by a flood, all within budget. One reviewer described watching Adel check the finish for streaks with an LED headlamp before calling a job done. Reviewers repeatedly credit Adel with walking them through each step of the work, responding quickly to questions, and pricing competitively against other quotes they had received. One review also described him refinishing an old, worn deck. Google shows a 5-star average across 12 ratings, and nothing in the written reviews conflicts with that — there are no complaints on file. The one thing to note is that this is a young, single-source review history: every account so far comes from Google in 2025, so there isn't yet a long or independently corroborated track record to draw on. For a homeowner focused on hardwood refinishing, installation, or matching new flooring into an older home, the evidence so far points to careful, communicative work — just worth asking for a couple of recent references to round out the one-platform picture.
Incredible! The attention to detail and end result were incredible. I'm so happy with our floor. We had a parque floor in pretty bad shape and Adel really worked magic on it.
Great service and on time. Adel and his guys are so skilled and paying attention to all details. Adel answered all questions we had and explained every steps from A to Z. I recommend chrysalis hardwood company to everyone who is looking to refinish their floors
Adel and his team did an excellent job installing our engineered hardwood floor. Adel was always responsive to my messages and patiently answered all of my questions. The pricing was very reasonable—better than other quotes I had received. He and his team were punctual, professional, and the new flooring looks amazing. Thank you, Adel and team!
Amazing work. Took our old and practically useless deck to a place filled with life and beautiful color. Every detail about the work is phenomenal and was completed at such a short period of time. Thank you so much for your diligent work and time Adel!
Adel from Chrysalis Hardwoods did an outstanding job refinishing the original 75 years old red oak floors in our Cape house in Falmouth, MA. He also removed the old tile and seamlessly laced in new boards to match the existing floor. it's impossible to tell where the old ends and the new begins. The attention to detail was incredible, and he used only Bona products, which gave the floors a beautiful, clean, and durable finish. We couldn't be happier with the results. Highly recommend Adel and Chrysalis Hardwoods to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship and honest work!
