An October 2026 Google reviewer had designer Michelle Brock measure a garage, and installer Alwyn was "precise, neat and efficient" putting the closet in. Another October 2026 customer worked with Eva Santiago on a walk-in closet in a new bedroom addition. A September 2026 reviewer, on their third unit from the company, said Jose did the walk-in build-out and a mix-up from the shop with an L shelf unit was quickly fixed. In July 2026 a customer said Jose arrived on the scheduled date and did the job himself in just under 7 hours. An October 2026 reviewer with a house built in the mid-1800s said the team steered them away from upgrades and add-ons they didn't need, and the closet went in within a few hours. In December 2025 a customer described designer Heidi taking it in stride when they changed a basement layout from three separate rooms to an open style halfway through. In October 2026 a 4-star reviewer praised the installer but said that on the first appointment the company had the wrong phone number, tried no email, and "just did not show up." A September 2026 customer called it expensive and wished the design charges, such as a backdrop, were included. A July 2026 one-star review describes a hanging section built too short, an upper storage area smaller than discussed, built-in lights that did not work, and an installation manager who never called; that customer asked for the project to be canceled. In January 2025 a customer who spent $8,000 said a bridge between bookcases collapsed and the company denied the replacement under its 7-year warranty. A 2022 reviewer said their remaining balance was sent to collections without an invoice. The Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration held by Closets by Design shows as expired on the state registry.

Our garage needed some organization. Designer Michelle Brock came by to design and measure the space and came up with the perfect solution for our needs. She was meticulous in her assessment of our space. Alwyn the installer was precise, neat and efficient in putting the closet in. Overall we are thrilled with our garage closet and would highly recommend Closets by Design for any closet needs. Leera B.
Experience was flawless. Maria DiCarlo measured twice so the installers only had to cut once. She planned every measure meticulously and was straightforward with all of the details. The final product came in on time, on budget, and top quality. No surprises and we couldn’t be happier.

Edwin installed my closet. He was professional and personable. When I did the inspection of the finished work the area was immaculate. The closet design is perfect for my needs. Pam from Smithfield,RI.
I worked with Eva Santiago to design a walk in closet in a new bedroom addition at my house. She was so friendly and kind. She helped me maximize the space and worked the best deal possible for us. She was responsive to any questions I had throughout the process. I’d highly recommend her, and would use her again for any future projects! Thank you Eva!
