“As it happens, there is a professional furniture making shop just down the road from me, Still River Woodworks. Josh, the craftsman there, is a terrific guy who graciously offered to help with the wood turning.”
I contacted Josh about the repair of my children high chair. I sent pictures to give him an idea of the extent of the repair. His respone was prompt and detailed. I eventually brought the chair to the shop and he did the repair within few weeks. When I picked the chair up I was very happy with the work. I promptly delivered it to my daughter who is expecting in a few weeks. She is very happy.
Crushed it. The contractors who set the countertops commented that the cabinet install was phenomenal. Came on time. Communicated well. And the work was done well, as judged by everyone else.
I had this old set of Kershaw blades that was over 30 years old. The handle for the interchangeable blades had started to fall apart so I found Josh and Still River Woodworks online and asked if he could recreate a handle that would last. He was a very nice guy, and worked with me to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. He quoted me a very reasonable price and delivered way ahead of schedule. I couldn't have been happier with the results. The handle looks beautiful and I can still use the knives for years to come. Thanks Josh!
Josh made a custom coffee table for us. We brought a couple of pictures for inspiration and he designed and built it in solid walnut. Couldn't be happier!
I hired Josh Myler to make a dining room table for us. The wood was harvested from and dried at our property in Acton. My wife and I brought some photographs of a table that we liked and we used it as a starting point. Josh was interested in every detail. Not just the broad dimensions but also the thickness of the tabletop and the thickness of the legs. We wanted the table to be strong but not clunky. We discussed the edge profile and of course the finish. I also had him make frames for our commissioned stained glass art which I’ll review separately. He was so great to work with. He had informed opinions but was respectful of our vision. He is an artist and a superb craftsman. He even worked faster than we expected.
