Two things worth knowing before booking. First, despite the A+ grade, Coastal isn't BBB accredited. Second, new reviews have slowed to a trickle lately — only one has posted in the last six months, so most of the public praise is a few years old at this point. For a straightforward home inspection in Boston — especially for a first-time buyer who wants findings explained plainly — Coastal Home Inspections has a steady, multi-year record behind it. It's worth confirming current turnaround time and pricing directly, since neither shows up in any of the reviews or listings.

If I could give 10 stars I would! We were in a huge bind and needed our septic inspected (title 5) at the last minute. We had called multiple places that were booked solid, but when we found Coastal, Patrick was able to come out the same day and totally saved us. He was also prompt with the report, very friendly and respectful of our home. I highly recommended Patrick and Coastal Inspections.
