A 2026 Google review describes a furnace replacement after a heating system failed in February: after the 50% deposit, the old furnace was out and the new one delivered within a week, but it took two months to install a temporary water heater, and everything was only hooked up in August. That review called it "mismanagement at a minimum" and said calls, emails and messages were ignored, while saying the plumber Kyle does a good job.
I’ve had colonial comfort come by for routine issues several times so when I came home in February to find a failed heating system they were the first people I called. They quoted me a reasonable price (12k) but I did get another quote for $600 less, but colonial comfort already came through and I used to trust them…. After I paid the 50% deposit they got the old furnace out and the new one delivered within a week…. And then two months of calling several times a week because I still had no hot water and it was still cold out, 40degrees whole house. Even after Larry(the owner?) had to come back with the plumber and then again alone “to figure out the plan” it took two months for them to install a temporary water heater that let me wash my hands and shower in comfort and my wood stove for heat; Larry was apologetic and said he should have brought us hot it by sooner and that they only do this when the job will be done in a couple weeks… that was the first week or two of June…. Now they just finally got it all hooked up in August after I started talking to lawyers and magically my complaints find their way to some tech supervisor named tom who had nothing but excuses and tried to blame me for them taking five months to have their plumber Kyle (who is straightforward and does a good job) do a three day job… mismanagement at a minimum but given they completely ignore your calls emails and messages seems more company wide. Despite Kyle doing a good job I gotta say avoid this company at all costs (specially if it will save you 600)
Colonial Comfort 2 houses that I own, with mini-splits and I cannot express enough praise. They came when they were scheduled, went right to , covered everything that needed to be protected and were finished quickly. I can highly recommend them!
We were in a real tough spot with a leaking hot water heater and Tom and team came to the rescue. Not having hot water isn’t fun! Colonial Comfort were fair, fast, efficient, and did a very clean job. They got us up and running the next day. We will be trusting Larry, Tom, and team for future needs.
We are very appreciative of the excellent and honest service we received from Colonial Comfort. Larry's expert assessment of the problem with our furnace saved us thousands of dollars. We will use Colonial Comfort for all our HVAC needs now.
We have used Ton am Colonial Comfort for a couple of projects now. He came up with a great solution to add heat to our cold living room. And added ductwork to an unvented laundry room. Very responsive. Really nice people doing the service calls. And surprisingly reasonable prices.
