Conde Roofing & Construction is a family-owned roofing and siding contractor at 33 Elm Street in Merrimack, New Hampshire. The Better Business Bureau lists it as an LLC incorporated in June 2019 — seven years — owned by Melvin Conde, accredited since October 2019 and graded A+. The company says it is a CertainTeed ShingleMaster Premier company and a certified Velux skylight installer, that it is insured, and that it specializes in negotiating scope of work with insurance adjusters on covered losses. The volume behind that is unusual for a shop this age: 248 reviews across seven sources, with 5.0 averages on Google, Angi, HomeAdvisor and Thumbtack. Thirty-four of them landed in the last six months.
The pattern homeowners describe is a full roof replaced in one day by a named crew. Estimator Lonnie Burns and office manager Katie come up constantly, with Alex, Tim, Nick, Adam, Chad and Tyler running jobs. An April 2026 customer said Lonnie walked the property, got on the roof and checked the attic before quoting. An August 2026 customer contrasted that with competitors who quote from AI-estimated images or Google Maps views. A March 2026 reviewer with hot spots said the company explained what was causing them before bidding.
Cleanup is the other constant. A May 2020 customer said the owner came back a second day to sweep the yard for nails; a 2022 reviewer said you would not know the crew had been there; several describe tarps, protected landscaping and paver walkways, and a port-a-toilet brought for the crew.
Insurance work is a real specialty. In a 2019 review a homeowner said the owner spent months helping fight an insurer for a full replacement, and a 2021 reviewer said the same — that his understanding of the claims process got a repair upgraded to a replacement. In April 2026 a homeowner who ultimately hired someone else still left five stars because the estimator explained how claims and pricing work and then told her to go with the company she trusted.
The complaints are few but worth raising. In July 2026 a customer said the roof replaced about a year earlier had pieces falling off, lifting shingles and improperly installed metal. In March 2026 a two-star reviewer described a start date that came and went with no update and weeks of follow-ups they had to initiate themselves. In February 2026 a three-star reviewer said $600 was charged to clear snow from their grandmother's roof and the crew said the company does not handle ice dams, which the website says it does.
Commercial and association work sits alongside the residential jobs — a condo association picked the company from five bidders in 2023, and a December 2025 reviewer's company used them across four sites on jobs from $450 repairs to $58,000 replacements.
This is a strong choice for a full roof replacement, a storm or insurance claim, or ice dam work in southern New Hampshire. Confirm the start date in writing and ask who will call you if it moves, and ask what the workmanship warranty covers in year one if shingles lift.

We had a roof that was easily 25+ years old. Lonnie came out and made sure to look over the roof when assessing. No AI estimated images or looking at Google Map views. He actually went and inspected the roof unlike some competitors.
Then when the week led to the roof job Katie and Alex (the Production Manager for our roof) made sure that everything was communicated to us directly and gave us straight forward answers to timeframes and what was going to be done.
In a day we had a brand-new roof, and it looks fantastic Alex saw that we had kids and made sure his crew made 3 full passes around to make sure there were no nails. They were honest, and did great work. I would recommend them again to anyone.
Great experience with Conde roofing. Last week Lonnie, their lead estimator, came out, heard and acknowledged the ice dam problems we have had the last few winters on our 22 year old roof with 40 year old skylights that we felt needed replacing. In an 10 minute educational moment he explained the hardy New England features of the CertainTeed shingle product, flashing, temps and water shield, ridge caps and metal to all valleys on our roof. Conde was the 3rd quote we received with what we felt was the best option for reducing ice dams, the excellent reviews they had so we signed on. A week later the Conde team was out tearing off the old roof and replacing decking, shingles, and skylights. Everyone was professional, efficient and it was an impressive team to watch during the 8ish hours it took to complete the project. They cleaned up along the way and did an efficient nail/ metal pick up afterward. Communication at all times with Lonnie, and Katie at the office to sign contracts and ask questions was impeccable. We definitely recommend their company to take good care of your concerns and roof.
From start to finish Conde executed and delivered as promised on my full home siding renovation, the quality, care and attention to detail was remarkable.
They also took care of the back of the home gutters and new garage windows, timing and communication was clear and consistent.

I hired Conde to install a cupola with a weather vane on my garage. The crew, ably led by Chad, arrived in a timely fashion and got to work. They were professional and very courteous, wanting to make sure I was satisfied. This type of job is tricky, as even though it is not a big one, the details matter. They also insisted that I give them a call in case any issues arise. Katie in the office, was excellent in terms of communication and follow up. Very impressive, and I highly recommend.
