In October 2026 a Google reviewer wrote that Connecticut River Moving Company carried a "really heavy soapstone woodstove up to a second floor" with a "can do attitude," and that the price was what they said it would be. The company is based in Lyme, New Hampshire, and on its own site describes itself as locally owned and operated, with "over 40 years moving experience between the crew." It lists free estimates. In May 2026 a customer who needed a full house pack-up and move wrote that "Dan and his employees exceeded all expectations," that they were "prompt, professional and insanely efficient," and that they were "very reasonably priced." Another May 2026 customer wrote that "they take care of everything, pack, load and move you," and thanked Dan. Earlier that month a customer called Dan "incredibly kind and professional." In October 2024 a reviewer named "Dan Dyke of CRMC & his partner, Matt" for a move to Woodstock, Vermont, and wrote that the final total "was a bit lower than the original estimate"; an April 2024 reviewer likewise wrote that the crew "came in under the quote." A December 2024 reviewer credited Dan, Matt, Curtis and their team with moving a new grand piano through "challenging weather, a changing schedule," a tricky driveway and seven steps. In November 2025 a customer moving from Littleton to Lebanon, New Hampshire, wrote that the crew showed up early, nothing was damaged, and "they even set up the beds and mirrors." In March 2025 a reviewer wrote "they've moved me nine times and the 10th" — Barnard, Vermont to Woodstock, Vermont. In December 2025 a one-star Google reviewer wrote that their furniture was "not properly protected and packed in the truck, so it arrived damaged," and that Dan Dyke "talked a great game" when quoting but was "conveniently absent" once they started complaining, leaving them to deal with "the college kids employed to just move our stuff."

I was really pleased with my experience. They came when they said they would, the price was what they said it would be, nothing broke and everything was handled with care. What more could you ask for? They moved my really heavy soapstone woodstove up to a second floor and had a can do attitude about it. I would recommend them, for sure.
CRMC was recommended to us and they did not disappoint! We required a full house pack up and move, and Dan and his employees exceeded all expectations. They were prompt, professional and insanely efficient. They worked incredibly hard, were careful with our belongings, and were very reasonably priced. We have no desire to move again any time soon, but if we do, we’ll only use them!
This company is a hurricane when it starts moving you! In a good way! From the minute they arrive to the time they leave, they take care of everything, pack, load and move you in a professional caring manner. In the end, they carry you over the threshold into a new life, and you feel like you were just born. Thank you Dan, and the amazing workers you have!
Amazing experience with these guys! Dan is incredibly kind and professional, and made a stressful moving situation so much better by just being a decent human being. They were fast, efficient and very communicative. I will use them again in a heartbeat if/when another moving need arises. Many thanks Dan and team!
Do not use this company! We had a terrible experience with Connecticut River Moving Company. Almost every piece of furniture we had them move was not properly protected and packed in the truck, so it arrived damaged. Dan Dyke talked a great game when he initially quoted us, and then when we started complaining about the damaged furniture, he was conveniently absent, so it was hard to lodge a complaint with the college kids employed to just move our stuff.
