Corriveau Painting & Contracting is a Nashua-based contractor at 17 Marshall St. The BBB profile says the corporation has been in business for 30 years and handles interior and exterior painting, staining, faux finishes, drywall and water-damage repairs, wallpaper work, power washing, carpentry repairs, decks, and related painting projects. It lists an A+ BBB grade but says the business is not BBB accredited. Homeowners describe a varied remodeling history rather than only painting. In a 2021 review, one customer praised Kevin's professional communication, quick responses, added doors and trim, material ordering, fair pricing, and workmanship. A 2020 customer described family-room painting, exterior trim replacement, shutter painting, and framing a 10-by-10 deck, calling the rates fair and the deck frame good quality. Older reviews also mention roofing, bathroom work, tile repair, ceiling repair, and deck repair, but those accounts date from 2015 to 2020. There are also serious dated complaints to discuss before booking. A May 2021 reviewer alleged property damage and poor finish work, while a July 2021 reviewer described an employment-payment dispute and made tax-evasion allegations; those claims are presented as reviewer statements, not verified findings. Google shows 3.1 stars from eight ratings, so ask for current references, a written scope, responsibility for materials and damage, and the status of any concerns before committing. Corriveau may suit a homeowner seeking a broad painting and remodeling contractor, especially for interior finishes, trim, decks, or related repairs. Thanks for the money I just recieved what you owed me for 10 years. I'm glad someone called the labor board and reported you. I wrote that money off but now I have it. An extra grand was nice, I cant believe you aren't out of business for tax evasion. You're just horrible people in general. Have a nice day
They are doing work down the road from me and they came on to my property stole my wheel barrel mixed cement in it and broke it. Then they just dumped it back on my property. Tried to reach out to them and was ignored. They are also the builders who built my house and that’s a whole other story of terrible terrible finish work. Do not recommend stay away at all costs.
Kevin was very professional and most importantly, he always responded quickly to our questions and concerns. During the remodeling process, we added some additional carpentry work - several new doors and trim. Kevin quickly ordered the additional materials and was fair in costing the extras. When the time came for the final bill, Kevin credited back a few items that were included in the initial quote that he did not need to do. We were very happy with the workmanship. We had popcorn ceilings that were vaulted. A messy job that was done completely to our satisfaction. There was an issue regarding the molding around one of the windows that was not installed completely level. After our call, the molding was promptly removed and installed correctly. The interior painting was done well, absolutely no complaints. We recommend Corriveau Contracting Services. New Hampshire Property Owner
We’ve hired Corriveau for a few projects at this point including painting of our family room walls and ceiling, most recently some trim replacement outside, painting of our shutters, and framing of a 10x10 deck. Our experience has been pretty good overall. They charge very fair rates and are responsive to changes and / or minor complaints during the project. The deck frame they did for us is very good quality.
I do NOT recommend using Corriveau contracting and painting out of Nashua. We used them for a MB creation and update of a second bathroom. While the work done on the master bath was good, there was no sense of enthusiasm from the contractor who was supposed to be in charge of the project, whom we gave a lot of money to. The second bathroom vanity was installed cracked. He did not inspect the vanity before installing it and told me it was my duty to have inspected it, even though he was the contractor and he did pick it up from the store. So I am stuck with a cracked vanity as it is not something that can be easily swapped out as it comes in a set. There were areas around the vanity that was not painted etc Arbitrary charges appeared on my bill without any forewarning such as 500 extra plumbing fee because of extra work by the plumber. How that charge came about is still unclear. I was also charged 300 dollars for framing of a bottom cover for my vanities. This is like a 100 dollar job by a handy man. He did not bother to discuss any of these extra charges before doing the work. There were no set rules on how my house should be treated, the workers soiled my floors and walls and left my door unlocked after finishing for the day on numerous occasions. These are things that were discussed with the so called contractor before hand. Overall I would not use them again for any projects and advise to do the same. Update: They did respond and provided proof of the arbitrary charges. I have gone ahead and added 2 stars. I still feel they need to pay more attention to detail and that once you are hired to do a project, anything that gets installed should be vetted and photographed by the contractor to avoid any issues down the line. If you decide to hire them, please spell out all expectations and ensure both parties have agreed completely to the expectations
