Craft Masonry is a Guilford mason, run by Kevin, whose recent jobs range from a chimney to a whole backyard. On Google it holds 5★ from 11 ratings. In August 2026, customers wrote about Kevin's team repointing and rebuilding a chimney, repairing an old fireplace, and building a new patio and fireplace. An April 2026 customer said the brick front steps turned out to be a bigger job than expected because of how they were originally built; Kevin quickly revised the quote and work began that day, while his team also rebuilt a retaining wall that had fallen apart. The longest accounts are from 2025. A July 2025 owner of a 200+ year old house had the brick and brownstone foundation repointed: the old mortar was ground out, new mortar was squeezed into the joints with a 'burp bag', and at the end the cellar was dry. Another July 2025 customer said Kevin sourced bluestone and Belgian block to match a patio installed over 20 years ago, and stuck to his estimate. A November 2025 reviewer who rebuilt a pool area and backyard said there were no cost surprises even for a project that large. On Houzz, where it shows 5.0★ from 7 ratings, the reviews date to 2017-2019; a 2019 customer described a 480 square foot patio with a propane fire pit and seating wall. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration is active with the state registry.

Kevin's team did excellent work repointing and rebuilding our chimney. The whole team was professional, efficient and polite. Would definitely recommend them!
Craft Masonry did exceptional work to repair and liven up our old fireplace. Kevin and his team were professional and efficient with their time. Everything was done with care and precision; the final product was both structurally sound and aesthetically beautiful. Would absolutely recommend!
Kevin and his team did a fantastic job on my brick front steps, even after it was revealed to be a bigger job than originally expected, due to how the steps were originally constructed. He quickly revised the quote with a fair price and work began that day. At the same time, his team rebuilt a retaining wall in my backyard that had fallen apart. That job went equally as well.
I had an ambitious vision to recreate my pool area and entire backyard into an outdoor living space. Kevin didn't flinch when I shared that vision. He did guide me in not only structural challenges but recommended great design elements into the plan! His guidance on labor and material costs were clear and accurate. There were no cost surprises even for a project this large. His team arrived on time, were professional and courteous and did great work. I'll let the photos speak for them. Highly recommend Kevin and his team for any job, big or small. They aren't hardscapers, they are artisans! More photos to come!
