CT Carpentry runs its own mill, and among the 13 projects it posts is a horse trailer converted into a mobile bar. That gives you the shape of this Peabody shop: a remodeling outfit whose center of gravity is custom woodwork. The written accounts back that up. In a May 2019 review, a homeowner described a dated kitchen rebuilt for better flow and counter space, and called the custom cabinetry the nicest they had seen. Another that same week described a kitchen plus three bathrooms finished on time and close to the contract figure, with the crew willing to reclaim and reuse existing tile. A third named the people involved: Peggy coordinating, Shon building the cabinets. In October 2020 a homeowner described a bathtub and shower area rebuilt with plumbing repaired along the way, and in February 2020 another described a 60-year-old chimney repair. Two things about that praise are worth knowing. Five of the eight reviews name "Millstone" or "Millstone Creations" rather than CT Carpentry, and the CT Carpentry account answers them as its own, so this is a legacy trading name's history carried forward. Five of them also landed inside one week in May 2019, the shape of a single push for reviews rather than a steady stream. The one negative is specific, and it matters. In October 2019 a customer wrote that schedules were rarely sent and never followed, that the only sign the crew had been there was dirty footprints, that the front door was repeatedly left unlocked for hours, and that the wrong non-bathroom caulking was used on a tub and shower so a second contractor had to redo it. Unlocked doors and wrong-product caulking are process failures, not matters of taste. Houzz shows 4.5 from eight ratings, and the profile lists general contracting, kitchens, baths, additions, custom homes, decks, basements, attic restoration and custom millwork. Its stated typical job cost reads "$2,500 - 80 million", which is a typing error rather than a price band you can use. The written history runs 2019 to 2020 and belongs partly to a previous name. If the millwork is what draws you, and on the strength of those accounts it reasonably might, ask to see cabinets built in the past two years, ask directly how site access and lock-up are handled, and get the schedule written into the contract.

Dan and his team were amazing. They redid my bathtub and shower area and repaired some plumbing. From Demo to completion his team was professional, neat, did top of the line work and had great follow up. Dan kept me informed throughout the project and his team did several extra's for me that weren't on the estimate to make me happy. Dan goes above and beyond to make sure the job gets done well and to your complete satisfaction. I couldn't be happier with the work. I would 100% strongly recommend them to anyone looking to do any home project.

I would never recommend this company. Very unprofessional customer service. We were rarely sent a schedule for our project, and when we were the schedule was never actually followed. The only way we knew if they showed up to the project that day was the dirty foot prints left in the hallway. Also, whenever they left the project they never re-locked the front door, leaving our house unlocked for hours until we got home after work, even though we asked them repeatedly to lock the door when they were done. In addition, the quality of work was greatly lacking. We had to hire a second contractor to fix some of the issues. Our renovation was a bathroom, and one example of an issue was within the week Millstone was done the project, the caulking seal around the tub/shower unit began to peel off. When the second contractor came to fix the problem, we discovered that the cause of the problem was Millstone used a caulking that was not meant for bathrooms or for repeated water exposure to seal a shower/tub unit. The second contractor used the proper materials and we have not had an issue since.

Millstone Creations remodeled our very dated kitchen and we are so pleased with the results! From design conception to create a better flow and much more counter space to help with choosing materials Millstone Creations staff was awesome! The custom cabinetry is the nicest I've seen and the attention to detail (pull outs, soft close slides & hinges) is unparalleled. We could not be happier with the results!

Dan and his team did a great job on a remodel of a small bathroom. Turned old tub/shower combo into nice tiled walk in shower, installed new vanity, floor and toilet. All work was done professionally and on schedule. Looks beautiful!
