Currie's Plumbing, Heating, & Cooling describes itself on its website as a full-service residential HVAC contractor serving New London County, Connecticut, and says it has been in business 37 years. Its Connecticut plumber license, PLM.0204570-P1, is active on the state registry, with Currie's Plumbing Heating & Cooling Inc. as the holder of record. Alex did a hot water install in the same day for one recent customer, who said everyone had warm water again. A recent customer said Raymond diagnosed heat issues, serviced and cleaned the furnace, and came back the next week to replace a bad circulator pump. Matt found the problem with one customer's heater within a few minutes and replaced the damaged parts. The work goes past heating. A recent customer said Matt did a complete panel change out and added an exterior generator kit, with the breaker box organized, labeled and tested. When a barn had zero power, a recent customer said they came out that day, figured out the problem and solved it. Price and follow-through draw the complaints. A recent customer said the price for winterizing was almost double what they had paid the old owners of Currie plumbing. A 2026 customer called the company way over priced and wrote, "Whatever you do, always get a second opinion." A recent customer wrote that a new install was still not working after 4 days. A 2025 customer said a technician spent several hours throwing new parts at a furnace that shut down again soon after he left, and that the company then declined to guarantee the work because the customer had changed the nozzle. Scheduling is the other sore spot. A 2024 customer said a technician showed up for 2 minutes before leaving for an emergency call, and the rebooked appointment was a no-show. A recent customer who praised Justin's explanations said they did not have a good experience with the scheduling AI system. A 2026 Reddit commenter wrote that the company had apparently been bought out recently.
“I called Curries plumbing and heating but they apparently got recently bought out by these guys which I was unaware of.”
Raymond was very punctual and accommodating. He was here diagnosing heat issues, serviced and cleaned my furnace, and came back the next week and replaced a bad circulator pump. For a young technician I was very impressed with his work ethic. He is pleasant to talk to and answered all my questions. I would recommend getting “The Bee” annual membership, definitely worth it!
Ray, was a very pleasant person and communicated verbally very clearly to me. I understood what he was saying 🙂
Alvey was very professional courteous, and explained the situation extremely well.
Alvey was a pleasure to work with. Personable, knowledgeably and just a delightful young man.
Matt was awesome. You folks are expensive, BUT you show up on time, without waiting weeks, and do a great job. Much appreciated. Definitely worth the value.
