The Massachusetts registry confirms electrician licence 16791 as active, held by DARREN P CYR — and the company publishes that same number itself as "Master Electrician 16791-A", so the number the business advertises and the number the state verified are the same one. Note that the credential is the owner's individual electrician licence, which is the normal shape in Massachusetts, not a company registration. What reviewers consistently buy here is speed. A 2025 customer describes calling around 7am and having emergency service on site by 9am. A 2022 reviewer whose tree took down the service pole called at 7:20am on a Friday and had power back by noon; another whose falling limb ripped the meter off the house had someone out within an hour. A 2022 customer needing a full 200-amp service and panel after a lightning strike describes a temporary repair done free of charge overnight and the full job finished in a single day by a two-man crew. The site advertises 24/7 emergency service, free estimates and a one-year labour warranty. Price is the real thing to ask about. Several reviewers call the rates fair or reasonable, but a 2024 one-star review describes a two-hour minimum charge plus fees producing about $300 for a fifteen-minute fix, and a 2023 reviewer — who was otherwise very happy — was told same-day Saturday service carried a $100 emergency surcharge. Get the minimum charge and any call-out fee in writing before booking a small job. Two other cautions. A 2023 one-star review says only "Poor experience" with no detail, so there is nothing to weigh. And an October 2025 one-star review is not about the work at all: the reviewer describes a company van tailgating and high-beaming them at speed on the Mass Pike, and rates the company on that basis. Volume is solid but the pace has slowed — Google shows 4.6 stars from 62 ratings with 28 readable bodies running 2021 to 2026, but only one of those landed in the last six months.
