D.A. Kinsella Company is a construction company that a recent Google customer hired to build an accessory dwelling unit for the reviewer and the reviewer's fiancée; that customer said everything came out better than expected. The company describes itself as a Billerica, MA-based architecture and design-build firm founded in 1990 by Principal Architect David A. Kinsella. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 181433, is active on the state registry. A 2025 customer said Kinsella did the architectural plans, engineering drawings and construction for a garage addition, and that the addition was finished in the estimated timeline and on budget. In that 2025 review, Chris, the project manager, provided regular progress updates. A 2025 customer said David took over a design left by another architect, and that David and his team created the construction drawings and details needed for the permit. A 2024 customer said the company replaced original 60-year-old double-hung windows and their frames, at a price that customer called competitive because it included framing as well as windows. A 2024 customer with damage in an upper and a lower bathroom of a condo said Roy and Jason did the plumbing work and the demo. In that 2024 review, Chris began pulling permits once the contract was signed, and two cleaners came on a weekend to clean both bathrooms and the stairwells. A 2025 customer said the company removed a brick walkway, replaced it with pavers and stripped and replaced 9000 sq ft of lawn. When a drainage issue developed in part of that lawn after the bill was paid, that 2025 customer said James had a crew out to resolve it within a few days.
