A recent customer had a furnace replaced after it malfunctioned and says the team showed up when they said they would and explained everything. D'Ambruoso Plumbing & Heating Inc. describes itself as a small family owned business serving the New Hampshire Lakes Region and says it has been in business for 28 years. Its New Hampshire plumbing license, number MBE0004185, is held by the company and is active on the state registry. A 2026 customer said they called 6 other companies over two weeks and D'Ambruoso was the only company to call back. That 2026 customer said they were on the schedule 24 hours later and had their water issues sorted in 3 hours. A 2025 customer found the water heater at their condo leaking on a Saturday night, left a message Sunday morning, and said the company had a quote by 8:30 Monday, arrived by 9:30 and completed the job by 11:00. That 2025 customer said the price was at the high end of what they expected but worth it. A 2025 customer said they came the same day and immediately identified a leak with the shower. A 2024 customer said Vincent fixed a leak in the basement by changing some pipes out from old copper to PVC. A 2023 customer said Ed and his sons completed everything on a new homeowner list in a day, after a quote that was fair and detailed. A 2025 customer who contracted for a complete system update said some copper lines were left in place and PEX branches were run to only some fixtures, which the contract did not specify. That 2025 customer said there was an immediate leak, which was resolved, that they had to clean up the workspace themselves, and that when they asked for a solution they were told the company would "stand by the installation".
We had our furnace replaced after it malfunctioned. The team was very good at explaining everything, they were extremely professional, and personable. They showed up when they said they would, and were done in a very impressive amount of time. Could not recommend this company more!
We called 6 other companies over 2wks, D’Ambruoso was the ONLY company to call us back. They got us on the schedule for 24hrs later and had our water issues sorted in 3hrs. They were fast, reliable, and very friendly. Absolutely planning to use them in the future should old houses show more problems.
They were great. I was fortunate enough that they were able to come the same day and address the issue in less than an hour. I had a leak situation with my shower that they were able to immediately identify. I highly recommend them.
We have used D'Ambruoso Plumbing & Heating for over 20 years. The first time I called them we had an emergency, they came right out with in an hour. They were very professional, and tidy. I highly recommend them. This company has always gone above and beyond.
You can see on my profile that I rarely post negative reviews, and I am clearly in the minority opinion, but I do feel as though this company failed to deliver on their contractual obligations. For those planning on engaging their services, please have extremely explicit language used in the contract. On a complete system update, "Cut out copper lines" does not include all copper lines. "Run 1/2" (Pex) branch to each fixture" does not mean each fixture; just the ones they end up doing. They had a reason as to why some were done and others weren't, but nowhere in the contract language does it specify that, as you can see on the attached estimate/contract I accepted. I had the owner of the company here in-person and believed we had an understanding as to the work that was to be done. "A system I won't have to touch for 20+ years" was what I believe I said. A complete overhaul to Pex. That was the agreement. There was an immediate leak in the system (resolved) and I had to clean up their workspace and dispose of everything. I did ask for one singular piece of copper to be left behind as an example of the terrible condition of the old system, but apparently another miscommunication meant all materials could be left behind. When I found out, I attempted to reach an amicable solution and was told they "stand by the installation". I have taken down my previous 5-Star review. I hope other's experiences are better. Unfortunate to be the outlier in an otherwise well received review section.
