A water heater replaced the same day and mini-splits cleaned inside and out are among the jobs customers describe hiring Smith River HVAC to handle. One August 2026 customer says Bruce arrived within an hour of their call, assessed the failed water heater, collected a replacement and returned to install it that day. The company describes itself as a local, family-owned heating, cooling and water-heater business that has served New Hampshire homes since 2018, with a focus on Mitsubishi Electric ductless mini-splits and HVAC diagnostics. Its base is in Plymouth, and its stated service area includes Lakes Region towns such as Bristol, Meredith and Laconia. Customers describe both maintenance and installation. A July 2026 reviewer says Ricky dismantled their mini-splits, cleaned the indoor and outdoor units and tested them. In June, another customer said Ricky D. arrived on time and serviced five interior splits and two exterior units. An April customer described an AC inspection, cleaning and testing, with the technician calling before arriving ahead of schedule. A May 2026 homeowner described having two AC mini-splits installed in a log cabin. The units were installed in one day; a few days later, an electrician arranged by Smith River completed the electrical connections. The customer said both installations looked professional, the installers arrived on time and cleaned up, and a representative later demonstrated the controls and performed basic operation tests. A different May reviewer said Conner and James installed a split unit and worked with that customer's electrician to finish in two hours. Older heating accounts include a February 2026 customer who said a technician arrived within an hour and then took less than an hour to diagnose and fix a downstairs heating problem. Another reviewer that month said Smith River's technician identified an electrical issue after inspecting their furnace. The recommended electrician came the same day and restored the heat. The customer credited Sarah with arranging the visit and sharing the electrician's information. There is also a December 2025 complaint: one customer said they waited four weeks before being told Smith River could not do the work, leaving them high and dry. Google's listing shows a 5-star average from 127 ratings. Smith River HVAC, LLC's New Hampshire HVAC licence MBE1801087 is active.

After assessing what needed to be done he left and got the new water heater, returned and had everything installed and running great that day!!
