Pellergy installs and services wood pellet boilers and furnaces, and a vtdigger.org article places Andy Boutin of Pellergy LLC in Montpelier. A recent customer said Pellergy put in a pellet furnace to replace the aging heating oil system in a 1939 house, installed a heat pump water heater at the same time, and handled the Efficiency VT rebates. A recent customer described a hybrid system Pellergy designed and installed, pairing a pellet boiler with an air-to-water heat pump that runs radiant floors, baseboards and a high-velocity air system. In a recent review, Andy and Nathan diagnosed a problem with a customer's Pellergy Alpha pellet boiler quickly and repaired it, leaving no wood ash mess. A 2026 customer said Andy came to repair a pellet boiler that went down on a very cold day. A 2025 customer said Luke, Nathan and Jonathan did a pellet boiler installation that involved custom fabrication. A 2024 customer said they bought pellets from Pellergy for the 23 and 24 winters. A 2023 customer said Andy and Jonathan designed a cold weather heat pump with a retrofit of high-velocity ducting to replace an aging oil-burning steam boiler. A 2023 customer whose propane system was replaced said the sale and install were good, but that getting an annual service usually took over a month to get a response. That 2023 customer said their heating and DHW had been out since February and, four months later, a single email said it would be at least another month.
“We bought a Pellergy PB-1525 furnace door unit which was installed on an oil furnace.”

We found Pellergy through Efficiency Vermont, as we wanted—for sustainability reasons—to install a pellet furnace to replace the aging heating oil system in our 1939 house. They were fantastic from start to finish: communicative, thoughtful, patient (they worked with our schedule even though, given other renovations, this meant quoting us the project last summer and installing it this year), and did—I am not being hyperbolic—*beautiful* work. The furnace is a gorgeous machine, and the associated plumbing for it and the heat pump water heater (which we had installed simultaneously) is something I literally go down to the basement just to look at. The price was also quite reasonable given the machinery and the labor involved; Pellergy handled the Efficiency VT rebates for us (so that was a nice and utterly painless perk); and my house is now both warm and sustainably heated! Jonathan, Matthew, Peter, and all the other guys who made this happen are genuinely the best.
Zachary Giroux (the tech who serviced our pellet boiler) was knowledgeable and friendly - a pleasure to work with and answered all of our questions. Highly recommend!
Fast, efficient, friendly service. Everything I have learned to expect from Pellergy.
Pellergy did a stellar job with our complex HVAC installation. They designed and installed an incredibly efficient hybrid system combining a pellet boiler (which handles domestic hot water preheating in the winter) with an air-to-water heat pump. The hybrid system powers our radiant floors, baseboards, and a high-velocity air system for zoned heating and cooling. Throughout the process, all the Pellergy staff and subcontractors were highly professional, courteous, and friendly. Pellergy offered multiple tailored solutions with clear estimates, proactively tracked down rebates and incentives, and stayed 100% within our budget. We couldn't be happier with their work and highly recommend them!
Excellent experience from start to finish. The team is very knowledgeable and helped us select the correct product. The install team was friendly, quick, and efficient. They even went above and beyond to identify a few valves in our existing infrastructure that were not functioning correctly and corrected the issue after getting approval from my husband and I. The pellet furnace is quiet and easy to operate.
