The Canton company says it was started in 1996 by Thomas and Patty Dandis — his estimating, her project management — and that it has stayed pointed at public work across Massachusetts ever since. It also describes itself as a WBE, a women business enterprise registered with the state. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active and held in the company's own name. Beyond painting, the company says it is certified in general building construction, which is how it explains the exterior siding, doors and windows, and kitchen and bathroom work it also takes on. The institutional side of its work is easy to trace. Massachusetts towns and housing authorities name the company in their bid tabulations and board minutes for painting and exterior contracts, and a 2022 Somerset schools bid document listed it at its Canton address with Patty Dandis as the contact. What's absent is homeowners. No written customer reviews appear on its BBB page or on BuildZoom, and the BBB has issued no rating at all, saying it lacks sufficient information to do so. Google shows two ratings averaging five stars, with nothing written to explain them. For a firm whose day work is filed sub-bids on municipal buildings that isn't strange — but it does mean there's no first-hand account anywhere of what it's like to have this crew at a house. Two things to sort out before you call. The company's own site claims thirty years in business, while its BBB profile lists a 2011 business start and fifteen years. And its BuildZoom page is filed under the individual name Parthena Dandis, carrying a construction supervisor licence in that person's name rather than the company's — normal enough, since a company and the person who qualifies it hold separate licences, but worth confirming whose licence covers your job. If you have an institutional or exterior-scale project — a building, a housing complex, a large siding-and-paint scope — this is a firm with a documented public-contract history and a current state registration behind it. For a single-house interior repaint, ask for residential references and a look at recent home jobs first, because that part of its history isn't written down anywhere public.
