DC57 Construction is a small, Whitman-based crew run by Lucas and Tiago Rodrigues, doing finish carpentry and remodeling work — stairs, railings, decks, porches, kitchens and baths — across Southern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Nearly every review over the past few years names Lucas or Tiago directly, and the two keep coming up together on the trickier finish work: custom stairs, railings and built-in storage. The specifics reviewers describe hold up job after job. A cellar stairway got handrails on both walls after a homeowner wanted to feel safer using it; a loft got redesigned for more storage with Tiago handling the finish carpentry; a shed got a level, sturdy foundation built in about an hour. When the ask is unusual, the same problem-solving shows up — one reviewer called on a Sunday needing an outdoor dog ramp for their dogs, and Lucas and Tiago had a solution worked out in 15 minutes and built within the week. A 2025 review describes a full porch rebuild, pressure-treated lumber wrapped in AZEK trim, with custom stairs the homeowner called unbelievable. Pricing comes up as reliable, not just cheap — one reviewer said the quoted number matched the final bill exactly, with no surprises. Angi's profile for the company lists a Massachusetts trade license, GC51758, expiring in 2027, and notes it offers emergency service and Spanish-language support. For stair work, railings, or a deck or porch rebuild in the Whitman area, this is a strong call — it's a small, two-person-led crew, so for a bigger job it's a good idea to talk through scheduling and lead time before booking.
Lucas and crew from DC57 finished the job in just a few hours and on a Sunday! Solid work! They replaced my old stairs with a beautifully build new set. I will be hiring DC57 for more work that I need done!
Lucas from DC57 Construction did an excellent job replacing our stair railings. The finished work looks great, and the quality of the installation really shows. They also communicated consistently before and during the project, keeping us updated on progress and timelines. Professional, reliable, and easy to work with—I would definitely recommend them.
We had attic stairs installed. We were extremely impressed with the quality of the work. They came in, did the work and left everything spotless! They are extremely professional and do expert work! We are very happy!
Installed a sturdy hand rail p/grab rail along the wall abutting my cellar stairs, including a second hand rail on the opposite wall as well. Now I feel safe using that stairway…
Very proffessional!!
