Dean Westfall Carpentry is a one-man carpentry outfit working out of Abington, taking on porch and deck repairs, exterior trim work and smaller handyman jobs. The company's Angi page describes Dean personally, and its About text claims over 20 years of experience, though a separate badge on the same page puts it at 15 years. In a 2020 review, a homeowner described Dean pricing and scheduling a porch repair on their own timeline, staying in touch throughout the job and finishing to their satisfaction, and said they would hire him again. Two shorter reviews from the same year call his work topnotch and good value. All three reviews on file are from 2020 and rate the business 5 out of 5 stars. Given how dated that record is, it is worth asking about more recent work before booking.
I talked to Dean and he checked out the project. He was professional and knowledgeable about what was needed. Prior to the job he let me know what was needed and that he was pricing it. He even allowed me to dictate the timing of the job. During the job he kept me updated and did not balk at the couple of things I added during it. The finished porch is great. To sum it up, I would hire Dean again.
He is a terrific carpenter who does topnotch work. You are very fortunate to have him work in your house.
They do great quality work for a great value!
