emery contracting

Emery Contracting is a small, family-run general contractor working the South Shore out of Abington — additions, ADUs, whole-room renovations and store build-outs make up the bulk of the work people hire them for. The company says it was founded by Mike Emery, who runs it today. Recent reviews describe an ongoing relationship with several repeat clients. One family, writing in July 2026, says they've used Emery for a deck, a large addition, a basement remodel and custom carpentry across multiple projects and wouldn't use anyone else. Another, in June 2026, describes an ADU built off their main house and credits Mike and Alyse with choosing good products and good people to do the work. A May 2026 review credits Mike and his team, Sean and Mark, with executing a design exactly as envisioned and staying patient through a mid-project change of mind. A March 2026 review calls a home addition well-communicated and timely, with pricing that beat competing quotes. Older reviews point the same direction. In 2024, one family described a full gut renovation of three bathrooms and a kitchen plus a re-siding of the whole house; another, also in 2024, credited the company with a commercial store build-out and referrals to vetted plumbers and electricians. The company's own site calls itself "licensed and insured," but BuildZoom — which tracks 20 permitted projects for the business across Plymouth, Pembroke, Hanson, East Bridgewater, Marshfield and Taunton — lists its license status as "Unable To Verify," with no active license on file. Better Business Bureau, separately, has accredited the company since 2017 with an A+ rating. A good fit for South Shore homeowners planning an addition, ADU or full-room renovation who want one crew across the whole job — worth asking directly to see a current Massachusetts contractor license before signing, since third-party records couldn't confirm one.
