Deck It works out of 1092 Main St in Bolton and builds decks, porches and stairs for homeowners across eastern and central Massachusetts. Google shows a 5-star average from 113 ratings, and the company has accumulated 102 reviews across five sources since 2022 — a deep record for a specialist that does one kind of job. What customers describe most consistently is a run project rather than a one-man crew: a salesperson who comes out and quotes, a designer or rendering step, then a named project manager and a named build crew. Reviewers name the same people repeatedly across years — George, Evan, Matt and Josh on the sales side, Glenn, Jeff, Brandon, Francesca and Kyle managing projects, and builders including Ney, Cai, Adriel, Drew and Tai. In 2026 reviews, homeowners describe a deck replacement finished on time and on budget with the crew working 7am to 7pm, a repair to an existing Trex deck quoted within 24 hours of the call, and a full rebuild where the salesperson walked the customer through materials in the showroom before anything was ordered. The harder jobs show up too. A 2025 reviewer describes a deck built off the back of a 145-year-old house on a 20-foot ledge that other companies had turned down; another describes four decks replaced along with two doors, a water- and pest-damaged header and new ledger flashing; several describe permits, a town historical commission meeting and a conservation review handled by the company. Winter and heatwave builds recur, as does the detail that the crew cleaned up daily. The one thing worth asking about before you book is the estimate itself. In a January 2025 review, a homeowner who only met them for a consultation said the estimator led with what their budget was and then sent a quote and plan that did not match what they had asked for. Everything else in the record is about work performed, so ask for the design drawing and the written scope before you sign, and confirm what a change mid-project costs — several reviewers mention making changes, but none of them says what that did to the price. If you want a purpose-built deck, porch or exterior stairs and you value a scheduled, permitted, project-managed build over the lowest bid, this is a company with an unusually consistent track record for that work. Confirm your own quote in writing, and ask which project manager and crew you will get.
“I was honest with them and they did a great job. Deck It is who they were if you want to go that route.”
Deck It did a fabulous job with our deck replacement. Everyone we worked with was professional, friendly, and kind. The sales staff and project manager were both fantastic, keeping us up to date at every step. The end result is beautiful and we're very happy with our new deck.
My brother had used them and all I can say is wow! What used to be a run down deck got transformed into a place the family wants to hang out. If I had the money I’d have them do mine!
Using a different company I had a deck project that wasn’t going as planned. I hired Deck It to fix and finish the project. I would highly recommend Deck It!
Just had Evan here for an estimate. I am used to contracting estimators not being wholly prepared to answer my very picky questions and I really was impressed. Very informed about his products and able to answer all my concerns or explain why he could not at that moment. I asked about everything I was experiencing as an upsell, and he was great in going into the technical reasons in a way that was convincing. I hope we can go with these folks - price will be the determiner, but Evan knows his stuff.
I am so happy with the results and cannot say enough good things about my experience with Deck It! From start to finish, the entire process was both professional and seamless. The team really exceeded my expectations: Evan M., my salesperson, was incredibly patient and kind. He walked me through the different materials in the showroom to ensure I was making a decision I would be happy with. Tom F., the project manager, was knowledgeable and efficient. He made sure the project stayed on track and that all of my needs were met throughout the process. Drew, the lead contractor, did an amazing job with an incredible attention to detail. I would highly recommend Deck It for any deck building project!
