Deck It

Jake and Pat founded Deck It in 2017 as best friends and narrowed it to decks alone in 2021 — custom composite and wood decks, porches, screened porches and sunrooms, built out of Bolton for homes and businesses across eastern and central Massachusetts. Customers name the people they dealt with. A homeowner writing in May 2026 credited Evan M. in sales with being patient through the material choices; in June another, who describes his own questions as very picky, said the estimator answered every one and was plain about what he could not answer on the spot. A March 2026 consultation with Chris ended with the homeowner planning to come back when their porch is ready. The jobs run from a set of back stairs to full rebuilds. One customer in October 2024 got a 16-by-16 deck and 6-by-6 back stairs with a cocktail rail and an ADA hand rail; another in May 2024 had four decks replaced along with a sliding door and a basement walkout door, the water- and pest-damaged header above it rebuilt and the new ledger properly flashed. A family living in Florida had stairs built for a relative in Massachusetts. In July 2026 a homeowner whose deck project had stalled with a different company hired Deck It to fix and finish it. The run-up to the build gets described in concrete terms: a 3D mock-up that helped an October 2025 customer picture the space, the office opened on an off day in February 2025 so one couple could choose materials and colors, permits handled by Glenn, project managers — Brandon, Francesca — checking in as the work moved. A May 2026 customer reported the deck finished on time and on budget, with the crew on site before 7 a.m. and working past 7 p.m. Not every visit went that way. A homeowner in January 2025 rated the consultation two stars and said the person who came out seemed concerned mainly with their budget rather than the deck they had described; that account is about the sales call, not finished work. An undated Better Business Bureau account is also negative about dealing with the company. The state registry lists home improvement contractor registration 188513 as active in Deck It Inc.'s own name. Trex Pro Platinum standing and a 2025 TimberTech Top Contractor in the Northeast title are the company's own statements. For a composite or wood deck, porch or screened porch anywhere across eastern and central Massachusetts, this is a strong call; ask who your project manager will be and get the material lead time and permit schedule in writing before the first crew day.
