Dellorfon Electric Co is a family-run electrical contractor in Natick, self-reporting nearly three decades in business under owner Fred Dellorfon, Jr., who says he leads a team of licensed electricians. The company's own site lists residential and commercial wiring, remodels and additions, panel upgrades, EV chargers, and low-voltage wiring as its work. Reviews on file run from 2021 to 2024, and they split cleanly down the middle. On the positive side, a 2024 review praised the "reasonable cost" of a recessed-lighting install and called Fred's crew friendly, professional and efficient; a 2023 review described a careful, more-efficient-than-expected bathroom exhaust-fan install through an old plaster ceiling; and a 2022 review called the company remarkably responsive. But the same years produced real complaints. A 2023 reviewer says a quote for recessed lighting in a home they were about to purchase came back around $20,000 — roughly $666 per fixture — and felt it was far out of line. A 2022 reviewer says a promised callback never came. And a 2021 reviewer describes a pool-light and GFI-outlet repair that left the lights working only intermittently after a follow-up visit, with a bill over $400. Google shows the company at 3.3 stars from 9 ratings. Worth asking about before booking: get a firm, written estimate up front for anything beyond a small fixture job, since the sharpest complaint on file is about a quote rather than the work itself — and pin down a specific callback window, since one reviewer says a promised call never came. Its Massachusetts electrician license (#11764) is active. BuildZoom separately lists a second Massachusetts license number (#25447) for the company, though that's BuildZoom's own claim rather than something verified here. For a straightforward wiring, fixture or panel job, the reviews on file suggest solid work at a fair price; for anything bigger, a clear quote and timeline in writing before signing on looks like the safer move.
So happy with the Dellorfon Electric installation & the reasonable cost of recess lighting. It was a pleasure to work with Fred and his friendly, professional and efficient crew.
I'm in the process of purchasing a property and I was recommended Dellorfon by my realtor to install recessed lighting in the property. I asked for an indicative quote and I provided as much detail as possible but explained that I could not show the property until I took ownership in 2 weeks time. Rather than providing a reasonable quote for a very standard recessed light installation they quoted $20k which was $666 for each individual recessed light. I called to be polite but they believed this was very reasonable and either they find a lot of people to overpay or they charge a ridiculous margin to their customers. Clearly they want to pressure people into on site sales rather than giving a fair indication upfront and I feel this wasted my time. I received other quotes for the more standard range price per individual light of $150-250. Very disappointed, they provide a professional image with their branded vans but that clearly comes with unrealistic profit margins. I would recommend getting other quotes before considering Dellorfon.
We needed to install a bathroom exhaust fan and our house has old plaster ceilings that are difficult to work with. Dellorfon came out and gave a fair estimate, and then ended up doing the work more efficiently than expected. They did a wonderful job being careful with the ceiling and the exhaust fan works extremely well. I would definitely recommend Dellorfon if you're looking for a good electrician with fair pricing.
I was told someone would contact me in a couple of days. I still have not been contacted.
Dellorfon Electric is worthy of 10 stars. The company is remarkably responsive, and work is skillfully and efficiently completed. All members of this organization are pleasant and professional. I highly recommend.
