Twenty-four permits pulled and not one review written — Dembowski Bros Construction is a family remodeling outfit that shows up in town permit files far more than it shows up online. BuildZoom lists the Danvers business at 18 Trask St as owned by Richard Dembowski, with Christopher Dembowski and Richard S Dembowski also named as owners, and its permitted work reaches Marblehead, Wenham and Beverly as well as Danvers itself. The work it advertises is the whole-house kind: kitchens, bathrooms, basements, full-home renovations and additions. There is no customer testimony to weigh here at all. BuildZoom states plainly that it has received no reviews for the company, and nothing surfaced elsewhere, so a homeowner is going in without the usual second opinions — ask for recent addresses in Danvers or Marblehead you can go look at, and for the names of the homeowners on them. The licence picture is worth a direct question too. BuildZoom lists a Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #159953, issued 07-27-2025, plus two construction supervisor numbers, CS-040335 and CSFA-092637 — but those are the directory's own claims, and none of them came back confirmed against the state registry on our check. The same page separately lists an older home improvement registration, #104747, as inactive and at one point cancelled, and a Newton city registration printed 'Active' while simultaneously marked unverified with a December 2022 expiration. Directory licence records are wrong often enough that none of this is a mark against the company, but it does mean you should ask which registrations are current and confirm them yourself with the Office of Consumer Affairs and the Department of Public Safety before any money changes hands. If you want a North Shore remodeler whose permit trail you can actually walk past, this is a reasonable call — just do the licence check and the reference calls yourself, because the internet hasn't done either one for you.
